Hello everyone, My name is Anne, and I want to take a moment to talk about someone very special to me—my best friend, Nicole McMaster.
In September 2024, Nicole suffered a serious injury when she fell and broke her radial head (elbow) due to circumstances beyond her control. Since then, she has been unable to work, and if you know Nicole, you understand just how dedicated she has always been to her jobs. Since the passing of her father, she has been juggling two jobs while supporting herself and those around her, and now she needs our help.
Nicole is currently attending physiotherapy twice a week, but she has also been diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a debilitating condition that typically develops after an injury. Her doctor has recommended that she continue with massage therapy twice a week and has referred her to a specialist at McMaster Hospital, where she was also diagnosed with severe whiplash in her neck. The healing process for this additional injury is estimated to take 6-8 months, and the specialist has advised aqua therapy three times a week as part of her recovery plan. With her prolonged absence from work, Nicole is facing significant financial challenges and cannot afford the out-of-pocket expenses for her treatments which can be quite costly. Despite these difficulties, she remains resilient and is doing her best to stay positive.

🚨🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL CLIENTS 🚨🚨

As many of you know I’ve been off of work since September due to a fractured radial head (broken elbow). Last week I finally started physiotherapy where I was diagnosed after the first session with CRPS.

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a rare, chronic condition that causes long-lasting, severe pain in an arm, hand, leg, or foot. It’s often triggered by an injury, like a fracture, but the pain is much worse and longer lasting than expected. CRPS is thought to be caused by nervous system damage, affecting nerves that control sweat glands and blood vessels.

Due to this diagnosis that has also been backed up by doctor I am just starting medication that will hopefully help ease the pain over time. CRPS is unfortunately is incurable and something I will have to live with for the rest of my life.

As of right now I’m waiting on an appointment for an EKG to see just how much damage is already done.

That being said I do not know when I’ll be returning to . I miss all of you so much and I’ll keep updating as I know more.

As some of you may have noticed you currently can not book an appointment with me at right now. I was taking some time off for my health but things have taken a turn as while I’ve been off for the last week I have broken my elbow. That being said for the time being I will not be taking any clients until I get off my cast that will go from my hand to my armpit.

Wasn’t very demure of me to trip and fall, not very mindful id say lol (if you get it-you get it)

Until then I will miss all you lovely people and i’ll make sure to keep you all updated when i know more and when i’ll be back at LXB

let’s talk 📢 this session of random rant is gonna be about hair tinsel. let’s be real here, i love the way this turned out - with permission from her mom I got given the go ahead for photos. The more clients I have come to me for hair tinsel, the more IVE learned. First things first although this is a fun idea to do for your kid, i’ve realized that a better option for kids 13 and younger should be semi permanent hair tinsel extensions VS tie ins. For a few reasons this works better because you don’t have to worry about be gentle, safe or any issues with fall out of the tinsel super fast. Semi permanent tinsel allows you and your child to not worry about it all and last for 6 weeks VS 6 days? not to say that tie in doesn’t last longer as i’ve had adult clients keep in theirs for 2 weeks. That being said i’ve learned if you wanna spoil your child- invest in the semi permanent hair tinsel. Less money in the long run and also lasts way longer. This beautiful girl had her tie ins fall out over the weekend (silly me didn’t take a photo of the semi permanent extensions) but i got her right back in and we did 2 semi permanent extensions instead RAINBOW 🌈 of course and they will last and keep this lovely little lady happy for 6 weeks 🫶🏻

long time not post insta, i’m here to share this post and chat for a min. In advance thank you to all of my clients and followers who interact and read my content. So here we go guys, this to the regular person may seem like nothing, you may ask what am I looking at? Well this is my client, she came to me because the last person who did her brows made them straight and didn’t do what she asked for. If you look at the picture you’ll see the left side I waxed and the right side is untouched. The SMALLEST change I made was to give her a slight arch and keep her brows nice and full and beautiful like she asked. In the matter of 10 minutes I took her brows from straight to the shape she desired with minimal hair removal. And wow oh wow the small change made the world of difference. My clients left happy and like she was heard and all I had to do was make a slight change. This is why I love my job and one of my favourite things is being able to have clients communicate with me their goals and making it happen no matter how big or small. Happy client = a return client 🫶🏻 Thank you to my lovely client who trusted me to make what she wanted happen even though this was her first time on my bed. ❤️

2. after 24 hours you can wear mascara (imagine lifted lashes with mascara… chef’s kiss)
3. for the people who don’t want to wear mascara the tint also makes your lashes look longer because the sun actually makes the tips of the hair lighter.
4. 45 min to an hour and your lashes will look like this

LETS BE HONEST, i truly suck at posting… here i am starting this at 11:50pm. if im being real with my self posting this late on a business account not an ideal time. but im here to be real and honest with y’all.
i don’t know what it is but i dread posting on insta. it is the hardest part of my job believe it or not. i have full confidence in every service i provide but displaying that is definitely something i struggle with. i know im not the only one either. so here’s to being raw and honest with myself and everyone.
i have so many goals and dreams for myself and one of them is being comfortable with social media but as a socially anxious person i struggle online but in person you’d never know. how silly is that. so here’s to the effort and here is to trying even when you don’t want to. here is doing your best even tho it doesn’t look the same as others.
hopefully y’all will see more consistency from me as that is my goal but like i said ill always be honest and this one of the biggest things i wanna work on. regardless of the struggles thank you everyone for the support including my co workers and clients and the consistency of my clients that are so loyal to me even tho i suck at social media lol 😂 g

I think it’s time i reintroduce myself as i’ve been working as an aesthetician for 5 years in November 2024. A lot of you know me from working at since they have opened 3 years ago. Before i worked at another salon called the best kept secret. My boss that i have now started as a client of mine and one day offered me an opportunity that i would have no idea change my life. i’ve learned so much in the last 5 and half years. to think i started doing this as a side job while i was in school to a nurse. jokes on me i could NEVER be a nurse 😂
what i will say the job i have now, it’s not even a job. i sincerely love what i do, my favourite is when clients that come to me the first time and they haven’t had the best experience somewhere else and after their appointment with me they are always shocked. i love making people feel good, i love when people love my work, i love my clients who go to just me religiously because they trust just me. i am so unbelievably grateful to have clients that aren’t even considered clients anymore- they are my friends. what i do is my passion and i wouldn’t trade it for any other job in the world. thank you to all of you who constantly support me ❤️

I don’t usually post stuff like this but i thought why not take the time to share something i am passionate about. May is mental health awareness month and normally i would not broadcast my personal life on social media let alone on my work account. But i decided to step out of my comfort zone and talk about some stuff that is uncomfortable but needs to be talked about in order to end the stigma around mental health.

That being said 1 in 5 people deal with mental health, on all different levels. Some peoples struggles look different then others and somethings that you may find easy to deal with yourself others struggle with.

I myself struggle with mental health and some days are easier than others and that’s okay.

My point of sharing this on my work account is to show people that even “normal” looking people live with things you would never know and I want to share with all my followers/clients that I am ALWAYS a safe place.

Not just myself but the lovely place i work for is a safe place for everyone, we welcome everyone with open arms.

So if your ever laying on my bed as a client and you need to talk, know you can always talk to me. I understand.
