There’s a version of me that almost walked away from lashing completely.

Not because I didn’t love it but because I was drowning in it.

I was pouring everything I had into everyone else. Showing up early, staying late, saying yes when I should’ve said no, stretching myself so thin trying to be everything for everyone. And at the end of the day… there was nothing left for me. No energy, no clarity, no sense of fulfillment. Just exhaustion.

I was getting sick constantly. Rescheduling clients more than I ever wanted to. Feeling embarrassed, unreliable, and honestly… defeated. I was working so hard, giving my all, and still felt like I had nothing to show for it.

That’s the part people don’t talk about how easy it is to lose yourself while trying to build something.

Everything shifted the moment I made a decision that felt uncomfortable at first: I started choosing myself.

I began blocking off time that I needed without guilt. I stopped measuring my worth against what other techs were doing, how booked they looked, or how fast they were growing. I got quiet, focused inward, and asked myself what I needed to feel grounded, healthy, and aligned.

And the truth is when you start showing up for yourself, everything changes.

Your energy changes.
Your consistency changes.
Your standards change.
And naturally… the way you show up for others becomes stronger, more present, more intentional.

Now, I’m able to give my clients a version of me that isn’t depleted but grounded, focused, and genuinely there. And because of that, I’ve been able to grow and thrive in this industry in ways I was falling short before.

Not by doing more but by finally doing what mattered.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. And no amount of hustle will ever replace the power of being well within yourself.
