So my followers know that aside from being a Paramedical Tattoo Artist, I also have an affliction for roller skating. My husband and I actually host the roller skating at the Wayne Gretzky center Brantford on Friday nights from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. for adults and Sundays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for family. I see many times where there are parents struggling to teach young children (sometimes even toddlers) using inline/ roller blades. Did you know that for really any forms of skating, teaching your young kids how to skate on roller skates first is probably the easiest way for them to get accustomed to that specific motion of movement? It provides greater stability through the ankles and balance and gives your child a sense of security which likewise translates to more confidence! Think of it as starting them off on a tricycle first or a bicycle with training wheels . What do you think?

It is that time of week again to post and remind all you roller skating enthusiasts that we now have indoor roller/inline skating at the Wayne Gretzky center every Friday night for adults from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Yes, I know that you want to skate outside while the weather is nice but when the sun goes down feel free to join us up until 10:00 p.m. No mosquitoes, no heat, no rain, and a smooth Olympic size rink surface, and for cheap! We also host all ages skating great for the tots and under 18 age group on Sundays from 2:15 till 5:15 pm. Professionally DJ'd to reflect music from the roller skating era and mood lighting to boot!
