It's small business week, so I would like to celebrate it by highlighting one small, local business per day. Here is my Wednesday spotlight:

I've heard it said that life is more beautiful when you meet the right hairstylist. Brockville has a few great ones, but the entrepreneur I want to highlight today turned her passion for textured hair into a thriving business—one with a very important message that can't be ignored: Love your hair!

Alicia's company, Locs by Lee, specializes in styling textured hair, with focus on dreadlocks and braids. She helps her clients care for and maintain their natural hair. When she isn't traveling to clients' homes, you may find her at McArthur's Barber Shop on King St. or taking care of her beautiful family. Alicia is a strong, powerful, charismatic, and confident person; time spent with her will have you feeling the same.
