I always appreciate the feedback I receive from my clients about their experience. How you feel the moment we start your visit is the entire backbone of The Alchemy Room.

For me though, it’s the unsuspecting compliments that remind me the most that what I’ve set out to create and build is actually happening.

The comment was simple: “I always love the music in here”. Most would say thank you and that would be that - chalked up to luck of the shuffle. But I pour over my music choices, often spending hours with headphones on immersed in a playlist and intentional with how I listen to it. I’ve always been that way with music - it connects us to people, to feelings, and to eras of our lives.

When I begin creating the design for my studio, the first thing I did was throw on my headphones and something became abundantly clear pretty quickly - traditional spa music just wasn’t it for me. Calm and tranquil have never been words that will describe me and somehow, I would need to find a way to make Nirvana and Tupac relaxing.

As I welcome more guests into my sanctuary, I’ve noticed how many of my music choices ignite a feeling for you as well. I see it in the release of tension during facials, and when you belt out lyrics during that *one* Brazilian wax pull (you know the one) to get you through, or when you start a sentence with “funny story about this song…”.

After a while, the playlists just sort of created themselves - an amazing balance of retro nostalgia and calming instrumentals designed for each service in my room.

So, I’m really happy you love the music - I picked it just for you. 🫶🎵
