At Cornerstone Movement Institute, our mission is to teach movement. Boutique Pilates Studio offering private and group classes.
We combine the study and discipline of the biomechanics of the body in motion combined with the principles taught by Joseph Pilates for a whole integrated approach to moving the body. Mat, Springboard, Reformer, Wunda Chair and Pilates Cadillac. We offer various levels ranging from post-rehab to signature classes and/or sessions.

Mobility is not about pushing harder. It is about building awareness of how the body is structured, how the bones are meant to move, and which deeper muscle systems help bring that movement to life.
When we rely too heavily on superficial effort, we can miss the smaller, more intrinsic muscles that support healthy mechanics. With a deeper understanding of the shoulder, we can move with more precision, restore better mobility, and help prevent injury or support recovery after injury.
Some days your range will feel open. Other days it may feel more restricted. Both are valuable feedback.

April Theme: Gait
As we move into spring and spend more time walking, hiking, and moving through our days, we’re bringing awareness to something we do constantly, yet rarely think about: how we walk👣
Gait is a coordinated, full-body process from the way the foot meets the ground, to how the spine rotates and the body transfers weight from one step to the next.
When these systems work together, movement feels more efficient, supported, and comfortable.
This month, we’ll explore how strengthening the feet, legs, and trunk can support better coordination and long-term movement health.
Because walking may be automatic, but doing it well is a learned skill. ✨
