Had a special guest helper at the salon this week! 🫶
My niece, Everly, put in a few hours of helping me and it paid off because we got to trial some flower girl hair for her!! ✨

No before pic for this one - because when you haven’t seen a client in a few years, you immediately start catching up & forget to take a before photo! 🤍

After growing out her grey for a few years, this client came in without much of a plan, honestly not minding her grey at all - just wanting ✨ something ✨ done.

Her money piece is naturally, beautifully white, so we left it completely alone to keep doing its thing. Everywhere else felt a little flat, so I wove in finer highlights to bring the life back without fighting what her hair was already doing on its own.

Toned with Davines Present Time 10g 9.11 + 20g clear + 7 volume to keep everything cool.
We also skipped lowlights this round (which in the past, we’d normally do) since they tend to wash warm over time, and cool, low-maintenance hair was the goal here.

Now that I’m watching my own greys come in, I’ve fallen even more in love with finding ways to blend grey instead of just covering it. If you’ve got grey you’re not sure what to do with - whether you want to keep it, blend it, or cover it - I’m your girl 🙋🏼‍♀️

Keep the natural redhead but make it more blonde ✨

My client came in wanting more than a soft, subtle blend - she wanted her balayage to have some punch. So instead of doing seamless weaves throughout, I mixed slices in with regular weaves through her foils to build real contrast and movement, while keeping the blonde placement concentrated around her face and part for an easy, low-maintenance grow-out.

To keep everything bright, I toned with a mix of Davines Color gloss and View 10,34

This lovely new client hadn’t coloured her hair in years and wanted something that still felt like her, just with a little extra something for the summer.

We added soft teasy lights throughout for brightness and dimension, then melted everything together at the root for a seamless, low-maintenance grow out.

But more important than her hair - I have to share that her fiancé surprised her with this appointment because she had been talking about getting her hair done for so long but never actually booked the appointment… so he researched salons, called us himself, and surprised her with a booking. How cute 🥹🥹

Too good to pick just one 🥹

Full head of air touch foils for my sister! I haven’t really done this technique on many clients yet because I find it sooo tedious, but it truly is one of the best options when you’re trying to minimize damage while creating a bright, seamless blonde. ✨

Air touch uses air from a blow dryer (or air duster) to separate the shorter hairs before foiling. This allows those more fragile hairs to stay out of the lightener, giving them a better chance to grow long and healthy. It also creates an incredibly soft grow-out and eliminates the need for teasing. 🫶

For my sister, we wanted to keep things bright, dimensional, and healthy while creating a blonde that still feels natural and lived-in.

Brightening season is officially here ☀️✨

Now that summer has finally decided to show up, it’s time for the summer hair transformations to begin 🫶

My client wanted to brighten things up while still keeping some softness and dimension, and since she wasn’t afraid of a little warmth, we went with a warm beige tone that complements both her skin tone and overall vibe perfectly ✨

Because her hair is shorter, we decided to feather the highlights up somewhat close to the root while still keeping it slightly rooted for a softer grow out. With bobs, going too far into a traditional balayage can sometimes start feeling grown out a little too quickly without a lot of length to blend through - so this felt like the perfect balance of brightness + low maintenance ☁️

Also… all these bobs lately are making me REAL jealous 🥲✂️ I’m so ready for my post-wedding chop hahaha
