Fascia may be the body’s most important communication system.
Unlike the nervous system, which we usually think of as controlling signals, fascia forms a continuous web of quantum electromagnetic energy around every cell in our body. This structure connects tissues, muscles, and organs, allowing information to flow instantly throughout the body.
Researchers suggest that fascia is not just supportive tissue; it actively communicates with cells. It can detect changes, send signals, and coordinate responses across the entire body. This explains why fascia can influence movement, posture, and overall health in ways that go beyond traditional neural pathways.
The nervous system is still vital, but fascia acts as a primary network that guides coordination and communication. Its electromagnetic signals can carry energy and information faster than neurons, creating a holistic system that integrates body functions at a cellular level. This web-like network helps maintain balance, alignment, and responsiveness in real time.
Understanding fascia as a communication system changes how we think about health and healing. Practices like massage, stretching, and bodywork may improve the flow of information through fascia, enhancing flexibility, reducing pain, and supporting overall wellness. By supporting this primary network, the nervous system can work more efficiently and the body becomes more resilient.
The fascia’s quantum electromagnetic web shows how interconnected our bodies truly are. Every cell is part of a larger communication network that keeps us functioning, responding, and alive. Recognizing fascia as the main communicator highlights the importance of caring for the whole body, not just nerves or muscles.
I’m adding Burlington availability April 15/16th.

I'm excited to announce that I have a new virtual program that I'm launching soon!
My goal is to support women who are 40+ in moving to maintain comfort, ease, strength and flexibility.
I found that over the last few years my body has not responded in the same way to exercise as it had in the past. Patients and friends are expressing similar frustrations and are looking for clarity as they find new options that suit them better.
I'd love to tell you more as I finalize this offering to launch at the end of September to correspond to my 10 year anniversary as a massage therapist!
