Still unsure when to choose a hard gel versus a soft gel system?

At Akzéntz®, our Pro-Formance™ line is a hard gel system, while Options™ and Luxio® are soak-off gel systems designed for different service needs.

The primary difference comes down to the structure of the cured gel.

Pro-Formance™ hard gels feature a highly cross-linked molecular structure, creating exceptional strength, durability, and a non-porous surface. At Akzéntz®, we call this Diamond Strength Technology™. Because hard gels are non-porous, they cannot be broken down by solvents and must be removed by filing.

Options™ and Luxio® soak-off gels are formulated with easy removal in mind. Their cured structure is porous enough to allow Akzéntz® Soak-Off Solution to pe*****te the gel and release the bonds formed during curing. This allows for soak-off removal while still delivering excellent durability and wear.

As a general guideline, hard gels are often chosen when maximum strength and structure are required, while soak-off gels are ideal when flexibility and easy removal are priorities.

Neither system is better, they simply serve different client needs.
