Meet Soto aka Gus Bus. Soto is a Japanese Chin who loves to be where the people are. Soto enjoys long naps on the couch and being told he is handsome. His favourite thing about yoga is there is so much to explore in so many directions. You will often find him trailing his dad, John, to teach on weekday evenings!

Meet our new teacher, Valerie Ritchie!

Valerie is known for teaching yoga with a dash of humour. She is passionate about empowering others so that they can embrace their yoga practice on and off of the mat. She started yoga almost 20 years ago, felt the benefits of the practice, and was hooked.

After almost a decade of personal practice, she decided to get certified to teach. She currently has her 200Hr YTT certification with Yoga Alliance and is pursuing her 500hr YTT certification. Her primary interests are asana, the chakras, yoga psychology, neuroscience, meditation, mindfulness, and overcoming trauma through yoga. Her intention as a teacher is to encourage and support self-discovery through yoga. She teaches in person, on-line classes, workshops, and retreats that emphasize the connection between modern life and the ancient practice of yoga.

When she is not on her yoga mat, she can be found having repetitive conversations with her pre-tween, laughing out loud while reading a book in a quiet public space, cooking, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.

You have spoken and we have listened, so we are juggling around some classes to better fit your schedule! As of July 15, all 9:15 classes will start at 9:30. We are also changing some of our 4:15 classes to 5:30. Make sure to visit Mindbody to see our full schedule (link is in the bio). See you on the mat!

Liv+ is located on the West end of the city, on your way out to the mountains. Because of this, we like to think it has that sort of fresh air mountain vibe!
