Brutally honest hair advice because somebody has to say it

Your inspo picture does not cancel out your hair history. If you’ve been colouring your hair black for 5 years, we are not getting you to icy blonde in one appointment just because someone on Pinterest did it. Your hair has receipts.

If you’re spending hundreds of dollars on your hair and then going home and using whatever shampoo was on sale, skipping heat protectant and cranking your hot tools to 450°… respectfully, you are working against me. I can give you beautiful hair, but I cannot maintain it from my house.

And babe… those dead, see through ends are not “length.” If the bottom 4 inches are hanging on by three hairs and a prayer, cutting them is going to make your hair look BETTER, not shorter.

Sometimes being a good hairstylist means telling you something you don’t necessarily want to hear.

I’d rather protect your hair and be honest with you than say yes to everything.

This lovely lady came in with a beaded install that had glue inside the beads to keep them intact because her natural hair is so fine… INSIDE THE BEADS.

We removed everything and started fresh with 100g of new extensions, installed specifically for her natural hair density and what her hair can safely support.

The goal wasn’t just to give her beautiful hair. It was to create an install that minimizes unnecessary tension and damage, protects her natural hair, and gives it the chance to grow and get stronger underneath her extensions.

Extensions should work with your natural hair, not at the expense of it.

If you think a no show fee is harsh…

Imagine showing up to work only to find out you won’t be paid for several hours because someone simply didn’t show up.

When a client no shows or cancels at the last minute, that appointment time can’t usually be filled. That means lost income, wasted product that may have already been prepared, and time that could have been given to another client waiting for an appointment.

No show and late cancellation policies aren’t about being punitive. They’re about protecting a small business and respecting everyone’s time.
