Your teeth whitening appointment will take about an hour and a half to complete from when I arrive to when I leave the preferred location. Once the treatment is complete, you will enjoy immediate results, being left with your whiter, brighter smile. The results may continue to improve over the next two weeks. Results typically last for months before another treatment may be necessary. You can also extend your results by using the BEYOND whitening pen daily after brushing your teeth.

How white will my teeth be after the treatment?

Whitening results can vary depending on the severity and nature of your stains. Your treatment will be tailored to produce the best whitening results possible.

Smoking is particularly yellowing to your enamel for several reasons. Smoking puts teeth at additional risk for gum disease as it encourages the proliferation of bacterial plaque. Secondly, tar and ni****ne in the ingested smoke binds to tooth surfaces and calcified plaque (tarter). Of course, the third element of note in smoke-related staining on the teeth is the frequency to which teeth are exposed. Smokers who smoke throughout the day are exposing their teeth repeatedly.

Naturally Occurring Discoloration:
Not all discolouration of the teeth is controllable by lifestyle. Injuries can cause trauma to the teeth resulting in staining from inside of the tooth toward the outer layers of dentin. Other causes include congenital dental defects, damage to enamel from some medications, and the natural thinning and increased visibility of dentin as we age. Bruxism, or unconscious grinding, can be a contributor to tooth discolouration if the forces placed on the teeth result in micro-cracking of the tooth’s enamel.
