First time at Empire Barbering Expo 2026 and it was a completely different vibe from a traditional hairstyling show.

Way more focused on the business side of barbering — from commission vs chair rental conversations to real insight from a range of speakers. There was everything from beard work and detailed design demos to cutting techniques, plus a live competition that brought serious energy.

Smaller, more niche, and honestly a cooler crowd — barbers really show up with their style.

Definitely a different lane, but a solid experience and a lot to take away.

I recently completed the 3-day men’s cutting course with 💈

It was honestly one of the most intense and rewarding classes I’ve taken in a long time. The level of detail was incredible — it really broke down the structure of hair and the why behind every technique.

What stood out most was the focus on adaptability, especially with both blade and scissor work. It gave me a much deeper understanding of how to approach different hair types and shapes with intention and precision.

The knowledge shared was next level, but what made it even better was how well it was delivered. Everything was laid out in a clear, structured way that actually sticks.

The educators were amazing — super attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly masters of their craft. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do, and it was genuinely inspiring to learn from them.
