Agh, I love how microneedling improves so many aspects of our skin including its complexion. Look at the difference in pore size and pigmentation from the top picture and the bottom after only 3 microneedling session!!
What a difference ๐Ÿ˜

Retinol is considered to be the #1 inti-aging ingredient in the skincare world, but unfortunately, it comes with side-effect such as dryness and sensitivity that could make using retinol unsuitable in certain circumstances - to avoid causing further discomfort and irritation to your skin.

Your skin needs some love too ๐Ÿ’–

Here are some simple ways to keep your skin healthy on a daily, weekly and monthly basis โœจ

The idea of having tiny needles puncture your skin for collagen production might seem like a treatment that comes with a long recovery period, but unlike others, microneedling provides an outstanding improvement to the skin with very minimal downtimeโ€ฆ yup, itโ€™s a golden deal โœจ

The average patient has redness to their skin (similar to a sun burn), feels tight and in some cases dry right after the treatment, these symptoms usually last no longer than 24-48 hours. You can resume your daily activities and apply make-up by the next day!!

Pigmentation/discolouration could be a stubborn condition to treat, but is completely harmless in most cases. Good news is, a number of aesthetic treatments treat pigmentation including lasers, peels and microneedling (all available ) But knowing the triggers that cause it is ๐Ÿ”‘ to help avoid the initial formation of these dark patches.

As frustrating as it is to have acne, being left with a stubborn scar is just the cherry on top ๐Ÿ˜’
The good news is, not all acne causes scarring, and here's why:
When you get a painful pimple such as a pustule or a cyst, your skin experiences trauma and inflammation, which causes damage to the surrounding tissue, resulting in either a depressed or a dark pigmented scar.
On the other hand, when you get a non-inflammatory lesion, such as a blackhead or a small white head, minimal surrounding tissue gets damages in the process, reducing the chances of scarring.

In either case, avoid picking at your acne, which will only cause further inflammation and leave you with deeper scarring.
