Making sure you feel like the most confident version of yourself will always be the goal.
We've all seen the examples of treatment used to completely alter someone's appearance. I want to be clear that this is not standard practice, and it's not what happens in most clinics. It's just the version that gets attention.
Here's what I'd actually put money on: a good number of the people you interact with every day have had Botox or filler. You wouldn't know, because it was placed to enhance what was already there, not replace it.

Nobody wants to hear this in August, so we are saying it in August.🤠
Fall is the best time to start laser hair removal, and the reason is not vibes. Treated skin needs to stay out of the sun, and a full treatment series runs over several months with sessions spaced weeks apart.
Starting in September means you are doing the work during the exact months Calgary isn't offering you as much sunshine anyway.
Start in June, and you are choosing between your treatment schedule and your patio summer. Start now, and it is just a thing on your calendar.
Handle everything you meant to sort out in 2026 before you get to 2027.

The most common thing we hear is some version of I thought it was just a callus.🧐
Here is what people miss. A plantar wart often gets mistaken for a callus, a corn, or a weird dry patch, and by the time it hurts enough to look into it, it has been there for months. You start walking differently to avoid the pressure.
Two quick tells. Warts often have tiny dark dots, and they usually hurt when you squeeze from the sides rather than press straight down.✔️

Let us settle the two questions we get most in the DMs.
Does it hurt? Most people describe it as a warm snap, like a tiny elastic band. It is quick, and it is significantly less dramatic than the 20-minute waxing appointment you have been booking every month for a decade.
Is there downtime? Not really. Your skin may be a little pink and warm for a few hours, similar to a mild sunburn feeling. You can go back to work, go get a coffee, go about your day. We will ask you to skip the hot yoga class and the hot tub for a couple of days and to be serious about SPF while you are in your treatment series.
That is genuinely it.

The number one question in our DMs. How many treatments do I need?🥴
The honest answer is that your hair is not all doing the same thing at the same time. Only the follicles in the active growth phase respond to laser, and at any given moment that is a fraction of the hair on your body. The rest are resting, and they are unbothered by anything we do.
So we treat, we wait for the next batch to wake up, we treat again.
Most people are looking at a series of sessions spaced roughly 4 to 6 weeks apart, and your exact plan depends on the area, your hair, and your skin.
Anyone promising you one-and-done is worth questioning...👀
