The Power of Three 🦋🦋🦋

Every day, I’ll share a small story — because you know how much I love story time! :)

This look was the first time I ever did three braids. My client .monique had a vision: one down the middle and one on each side. She already had extensions in, so there was a lot to work with and cover up to make it look awesome and feel comfortable. The three-braid idea ended up being perfect for how her extensions were laid out, and it was such a joy to bring that vision to life together!

I had five days to figure out where I was going to braid her and her friend for their event at They were coming all the way from Strathmore. My brother and sister-in-law had just kicked me out of the house right after I did the Pink Stardust Rebellion on that Tuesday of Stampede.

I’d been living there since January to save money — trying to build my business. They wanted me to get a “real job,” so I did. I got a paycheck job, even though it drained the time, energy, and effort I could’ve been putting into my own business and wellbeing. Right when I was about to hit braiding season and start making some real money! They kicked me out. 😂 Funny how people will say, “I really do hope your braiding business succeeds, I really do.” Thank you, this is just the beginning.

I still made it happen — and I’m so grateful I knew someone who had just opened up their own parlour nearby. It ended up being perfect. So whatever 💁🏼‍♀️ even though I was technically homeless, I was too focussed on making it happen.

The power of three — power, purpose, and continuity. Three braids, three reminders that no matter where I am, I’ll always find a way to keep creating!
-AND helping others bring their own vision of themselves to life through my art! ☺️

🦋 Day 3 of 31 🦋

The Sky Within 🕊️

Day 2 in Blue - Where I pause, breathe, and try to change my mind set. Focus on seeing clearly. The calm, the clarity, the space to just be. It’s the feeling after the storm, where I bounce back. Start to deal with everything as wide as the sky. where I face myself by looking in the mirror. Seeing your reflection is incredibly important! Bonus points when you look good, you feel good too!

My mother came to visit me while I was at a baseball tournament in Langdon once last year. It was the first time I did a little pop-up booth on my own. I was very busy! I had quite the waitlist! 🥰 She said - “I think I saw one of those blue ones crossing the street.” 😂

This one I did on a young lady earlier this year. These were her volleyball team colors! ☺️ Today I’m resonating with these beautiful colours. Clear blue sky and maybe some clouds.

Today is my Mother‘s birthday. In exactly one month it will be my birthday! For the next 31 days, I am going to do my best to post content EVERY DAY as I make it. To showcase almost ALL of my hard work I have been doing these last 10 months. In the midst of extremely unnecessary turmoil. “Hair Art!” Let’s call it! ☺️

They are not just double Dutch braids to me anymore. They are all visions with colours, pallets from outfits, all the ideas to make the full YOU come alive for the truest most spectacular, adventure!

The look in my mother’s eyes when I showed her what I created. I will NEVER FORGET. She always bugged me and said why do they always look the same? 😂 (because it’s always two long braids lol.) So when I showed her this, her eyes just blew up and she said “WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW.”🤩

I chose an ABBA song to go along with this. I was obsessed with ABBA growing up. I’ve seen the musical 3 times with her! 🎶

Officially on my way to for my first time! ♥️ I spent a lot of time growing up in Radium Hot springs. My parents had a cabin at Shady Brook. I feel like nature is calling me!

I will be out there in the vending booth area. Braiding and hair tattooing. Creating your hair visions, making them come to life together! 😉 I’ll be bringing out my detachable bubble braids, eco friendly glitter, hair tinsel and my custom bling bling star charms! 🤩

I’m starting to feel like myself again. I cannot wait to support people by shining extra BRIGHT with some hair magic! It’s best to always want to express yourself! In any way possible! Like my grandma said, be who you are because you are a star✨

Hi fam!

I’ve had an insanely busy last few weeks. I still have some spots left for this Wednesday evening and Thursday! As well as a few open slots for pre burning man braids this month!

For the last week of August I want to offer back to school braids or hair tinsel parties for the younger crowds! 🙂 minimum 4 girls to book. Deposit required 🔒 $40-$60 for braids (16 and under.) Then $25 a head For 2 beaded in strands of hair tinsel. (Ages 4-17)
