SmithErickson Designs

Every home we design brings together natural elements in a way that feels intentional and cohesive. The materials we choose shape more than how a space looks, they shape how it feels to live in it.

The warmth of natural wood, the individuality of stone and the softness of layered textiles bring a depth to a home that can’t be replicated by trends alone. Each material has its own character, and it’s the way they come together that gives a space its sense of balance, warmth and permanence.

We believe that natural materials are more than an aesthetic choice. They’re part of how we create homes that feel classic, deeply personal and made to be lived in for years to come.

We’re fairly certain productivity would improve with a home office like this.

The richness of walnut-toned millwork, the texture of natural stone, and the warmth of layered finishes make this workspace feel less like an office and more like a natural extension of the home.

A few design opinions we’ll always stand by, and ones that constantly guide our design decisions.

We believe the most intentionally designed interiors come from knowing where to invest, what to embrace and when to exercise a little restraint.

A SmithErickson-designed home is defined by thoughtful decisions that honour the space, its architecture and the people who live in it.

A home is never finished with the renovation alone.
It’s in the editing, the layering, the curating. Styling day is where we bring the whole vision together, and where the house becomes a home.

We take your project from concept to completion. Ready to think beyond the renovation? Inquire to work with us.

A kitchen that leans into simplicity. A soft color palette with warm wood, off white cabinetry, and just enough contrast to keep it interesting with brass hardware.

Nothing feels overworked. Clean lines and thoughtful details. Easy, functional, and meant to be lived in.

We're still obsessed with color drenched rooms! There's something about the drama and energy it brings that can't be beat. We'll definitely be incorporating it in future designs.

Even the smaller spaces of your home deserve attention!!

Thinking about how materials work together is key. In this laundry room it’s a combination of soft cabinetry tones, brass accents, and the double herringbone tile install on the floor. Not one detail is overly bold, but together it feels balanced and intentional.

Some of the best moments happen before a project is finished.

It’s the in between, adjusting, layering, stepping back, and refining. This all happens before a space really takes shape.

We’re not just placing pieces, we’re paying attention to how everything feels together.

Because when it’s right, you can sense it.
