When your brother agrees to be your model 😁
What started as a favour for a photoshoot turned into a booking of his own.
Today's photo features Mio, an RMT at Apex, providing a traditional Thai massage on a floor mat—an approach that combines assisted stretching, mobility work, and skilled hands-on treatment to help the body move more freely.
A few days later, the review came in:
"Had a Thai Massage today. Stiffness in my neck and shoulders went from a 9 to about a 4 instantly. Mio is great too. Thanks!"
There's no better endorsement than someone experiencing the difference for themselves.
If you're feeling stiff, restricted, or just not moving the way you'd like, Thai massage may be the reset your body has been asking for.
📍Traditional Thai Massage
📍Professional, personalized care
📍Move better. Feel better.
According to TCM, the ear acts as a microsystem or "map" of the entire body.
By placing these tiny objects over corresponding ear-acupuncture points, they apply gentle, continuous pressure that is believed to clear up energy blockages (Qi) and stimulate the release of natural endorphins.
In this moment, Heba is assisting a low back stretch while assessing movement and range of motion — helping uncover where the body is holding tension and where it’s ready to move better.
With a background in Kinesiology and training as a Manual Osteopath, Heba looks at how the body moves as a whole, not just where it hurts.
Because sometimes feeling better starts with understanding why things feel tight in the first place.
✨ Move better. Feel better. Weekend ready.
But here’s the question:
What actually happens to your body in the first 10 minutes of treatment that makes you finally feel your shoulders drop?
Hint: it’s not just massage.
Your nervous system starts to switch gears.
Your breathing slows.
Your body begins moving from “go-go-go” into rest, recover, and repair.
The table is ready… but the real reset starts when you arrive.
👇 Did you know your body begins changing before the treatment even really starts?

How is a dental exam like massage therapy?
You don’t wait until a cavity becomes unbearable to see your dentist.
You go for maintenance.
Prevention.
To catch small things before they become big problems.
Massage therapy is no different.
Most people wait until they can’t turn their neck… their low back goes out… or headaches become normal.
But what if we approached our bodies the same way we approach our teeth?
Routine care can help:
✔ Catch tension patterns early
✔ Improve mobility before pain escalates
✔ Support recovery from daily stress and activity
✔ Keep your body functioning the way it should
At Apex, we believe in maintenance, not just crisis management.
You brush your teeth daily.
You see your dentist regularly.
Your body deserves attention too.
Because feeling “fine” shouldn’t be the goal.
Feeling your best is.
📍Book your maintenance before your body books it for you.
Deep, gentle heat encourages your body to shift toward the parasympathetic nervous system — the “rest, recover, and restore” state.
When your nervous system starts to settle, your body can often:
✔ Relax tight muscles more easily
✔ Feel calmer and less guarded
✔ Be more receptive to treatment
✔ Leave you feeling more restored
No phones.
Soft music.
A warm reset before hands-on care.
Sometimes the best results happen when we help your body slow down first.

Some muscles are hard to reach on your own — and sometimes the body compensates so much that even stretching at home just doesn’t quite get there.
In today’s reel, Heba is using a gentle manual osteopathic approach to help guide the body into a deeper, supported stretch.
Crossing the right leg over the left at the hip while stabilizing the shoulder helps target areas many people struggle with:
✔️ Glutes
✔️ Low back tension
✔️ Hip restrictions
✔️ That “everything feels tight”
The difference?
Sometimes it’s not about stretching harder — it’s about stretching smarter, with support in the places your body likes to compensate.
Manual Osteopathic care focuses on how the body moves as a whole, helping improve mobility, reduce restrictions, and support better function.
Because sometimes the muscles you can’t quite reach… are the ones asking for the most attention.
Your jaw called… it would really like a break 😮💨
In today’s reel, Dr. Aileen is using **Gua Sha along the jawline** — a gentle technique used to help release tension, encourage circulation, and relax overworked muscles through the face, jaw, and neck.
Because stress has a way of showing up here first.
Benefits may include:
✨ Relief from jaw tension & clenching
✨ Support for TMJ discomfort
✨ Reduced facial puffiness through lymphatic movement
✨ Improved circulation for a healthy glow
✨ Relief from tension-related headaches
✨ Relaxation for the face, neck, and nervous system
And if you love the idea of facial care with purpose — Dr. Aileen also offers a **Rejuvenation Facial with Acupuncture**.
Think less “quick fix,” more supporting your skin, circulation, muscle tension, and overall wellness from the inside out.
Because feeling good and looking refreshed can go hand in hand ✨
No, they’re not “using” the shoulder yet.
In today’s reel, this post-surgical movement is all about creating momentum — allowing the body to help the arm move passively at the shoulder while keeping effort and strain low.
Early recovery can feel repetitive. Slow. Sometimes even a little boring.
But these small movements matter.
They help:
✨ Encourage gentle mobility
✨ Reduce stiffness and guarding
✨ Support circulation and healing
✨ Build confidence in movement again
Recovery isn’t always big milestones. Sometimes it’s celebrating the shoulder moving a little easier than last week.
The boring stuff? It’s often the important stuff.
The smallest cup… with a surprisingly big impact. 👀
If you spend your day on a phone, keyboard, mouse, steering wheel, or doing repetitive hand work — your forearms are probably working overtime.
That tight, achy feeling through the wrist? The tension in your grip? Stiffness when opening jars, typing, scrolling, or even waking up with sore hands?
Sometimes the restriction starts higher up in the forearm.
In today’s reel, we’re using a small cup to create gentle decompression through the tissues of the forearm — helping improve movement, circulation, and release built-up tension from repetitive use.
Think:
📱 Endless scrolling
💻 Desk work
🏋️ Grip-heavy workouts
🛠 Repetitive hand use
🚗 Long hours driving
You don’t have to wait until it becomes pain to pay attention to it.
Maintenance > recovery.
