Our Story
Internationally trained and with decades in hair, Jo-Anne continues to enjoy both a rich and rewarding career behind the chair and freelance work, in session styling, bridal/special occasion and makeovers.
Her bio includes 17 years as the Artistic Team Leader and Style Advisor for AG Hair, where she traveled internationally as a platform artist and educator, with her work featured in the AG image portfolio.
Her skill in long hair styling has had her editorial bridal collections published and with her keen eye for a makeover, Jo-Anne was featured on Cityline TV in 2013, after winning the 'Ordinary to Extraordinary' makeover competition.
Over the years, her story and work has been published in Salon Magazine, Canadian and American Hairdresser, in the Celebrity/Sophisticate brand of hair magazines and featured on BTC.com.
Alongside this body of work, she is a Calgary Top 40 under 40 alumni, a Global Salon Business Award nominee and a 2012 'Women of Distinction' all while leading The Fringe Hair; creating the respected salon culture that remains today, and keeping The Fringe Hair in the ranks of the city's finest salons.
She continues to shine behind the chair, is a requested speaker at career symposiums and hairdressing schools and balances her role as a mom to her grade schooler.
