This is one of the possibilities for sure but your preference might be short nails or your lifestyle makes short nails necessary and that still works too… Let’s be honest long nails while typing can be annoying 😤

1. You are in pain during the treatment

Ideally this should never happen but if you are don’t just accept it. Your nail tech may be clipping too much of your cuticles or over filing your nail plates. Not only is this painful for you but it’s also damaging and can pose a health risk.

2. Your nails feel too hot/are burning in the lamp

Most of my clients tell me they’ve been told it’s normal and like to ‘tough it out’. You absolutely do not have to do this!! Heat spikes can happen but it doesn’t mean they should be deemed normal and something you need to suffer through. A knowledgeable nail tech will do what they can to minimise the risk of this for you and if you do have some sensitivity, let them know and they can advise you to withdraw your hand for a few seconds, which should help.

3. If you’ve had an allergic reaction to nail products in the past

Ideally this is something that would be addressed in a consultation by a nail tech. However please always mention this, your health is important and allergic reactions are serious!

4. If you change your mind about shape, design or colour

You’re allowed to change your mind, plain and simple ☺️

5. You don’t like something

You’re also allowed to not like something and I know as a nail tech that I’d rather know than have my client leave unhappy!!

Please always speak up about these things, you are paying for a service and you’re the one receiving the treatment!!
