✨MORINGA✨

Allow us to introduce this mighty herb.

Moringa is kind of a big deal in the lactation community, and once you get to know this herb it’s hard not to tell every single new Mom about it!

Not only does moringa boast remarkable effectiveness as a safe galactagogue but its unparalleled nutritional profile makes it a natural solution for new moms looking for much needed energy and vitality.

MORINGA INCREASES BREASTMILK SUPPLY and so much more…

Science Backs Tradition.

While moringa has achieved super-food status in recent years, it’s important to note that it has been used in many parts of the world for quite some time. Research now confirms what tradition has always known.

A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials in a 2013 edition of the Philippine Journal of Pediatrics shows that moringa significantly increases breastmilk volume. It also results in improved infant weight gain – excellent news for all mothers looking to maximize breastmilk flow in a safe, natural way.

MORINGA is loaded with vitamins and minerals: potassium, amino acids, iron, calcium, vitamins C, B and beta-carotene. It’s naturally anti-bacterial and is also a source of fibre, which may prove useful for women experiencing common digestive issues post-delivery.

ECO-FRIENDLY MOM, REJOICE!
The moringa tree is considered to be one of the most sustainable sources of food. It’s ability to thrive in poor soil conditions and withstand drought conditions make incredibly easy to grow producing several leaf harvests annually. Ensure you get your Moringa from a trusted source, ideally USDA certified organic to avoid exposure to harmful chemicals and cheap fillers, common to many products on the market today. Moringa is uniquely capable of nourishing both mom and baby – we are proud to include a therapeutic dose in BOTH of our blends- Milk Aplenty and The Milky Way tinctures!

If you’re in the early postpartum period and wondering whether your milk supply is “doing enough,” it helps to know this: breastfeeding isn’t just about stimulation—it’s also about establishment.

✔️If you’ve found yourself searching things like “how to increase breast milk supply fast” or “why does my milk feel low,” you’re not alone. The usual advice—feed on demand, pump more often, stay relaxed—does matter. But it doesn’t fully capture what’s happening in those early weeks.

✔️The first 6 weeks after birth are often called the establishment phase—basically your body’s onboarding period for milk production. During this time, prolactin receptor sites in the breast are still developing, which means your body is literally figuring out how to fine-tune supply for the long run.

Think of it less like a switch and more like your body setting its “baseline settings.” Feeding frequency, rest, stress, recovery, and nourishment all play a role in how smoothly that calibration happens. After this window, supply typically becomes more regulated and less flexible to big changes.

This is also where supportive, targeted postpartum care can make a real difference.

❤️At Rumina Naturals, we love leaning on time-honoured herbal traditions like torbangun (Coleus amboinicus)—a leafy herb long used in Indonesian postpartum care. Featured in The Milky Way, it has been traditionally associated with supporting lactation in the early postpartum period, and is backed by research for its role in milk production support.

When paired with consistent nursing and solid postpartum nourishment, it can be part of a thoughtful approach to supporting your body during this “figuring-it-out” phase.

If breastfeeding feels a little wobbly in the early weeks, it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong. It often just means your body is doing a very big, very new job.

And like most big new jobs, it gets easier when you’re properly supported.👊🏽

If you’re staring at the bottles thinking “that’s it?”… this is for you 🤍

Here’s what can actually make a difference in your milk supply while pumping!

✨ Pump more often—not just longer
Aim for every 2–3 hours in the early weeks. Even a quick 10–15 min session tells your body: make more.

✨ Add a “power pump” (once a day)
20 min pump → 10 min rest → 10 pump → 10 rest → 10 pump
It mimics cluster feeding and can boost supply over a few days.

✨ Don’t skip the overnight session
Between 1–5am, your hormones are primed for milk-making. Even one pump here can make a difference.

✨ Check your fl**ge size (this is HUGE)
If pumping hurts or your output is low, this might be why. Ni***es should move freely—not rub or swell.

✨ Hands-on pumping = more milk
Massage before + during. Gentle compressions while pumping help fully empty the breast (key for supply).

✨ Pump 5–10 minutes after milk stops
That “empty” signal tells your body to increase production for next time.

✨ Eat + drink like it matters (because it does)
Don’t wait until you’re starving or dehydrated. Keep snacks + water where you pump.

✨ Create a letdown routine
Same chair. Same drink. Same song. Your body learns cues—make it easy to relax.

✨ Look at your baby (or photos/videos)
It’s not woo—it’s biology. Oxytocin helps milk flow.

✨ Be consistent, not perfect
One low session doesn’t define your supply. It’s the pattern over days that counts.

No shame. No pressure.
Just real support for real moms doing a really big job.

You’re not “failing.”
You’re learning your body.

And that counts 🤍

✨ORGANIC COCOA BUTTER✨

Cocoa butter is some kind of pure magic and not just because it comes from the same plant that provides chocolate...although that might have something to do with it!

Rich creamy cocoa butter is the fat produced from cocoa beans that have been fermented, dried, roasted and pressed.

We have chosen to include it in our Ouchie Momma Ni**le Rescue to help give it a lovely smooth texture but also for a number of other reasons:

✨It contains fatty acids which act as a moisture barrier to protect delicate skin

✨It is known to have analgesic properties which is a bonus for anyone with sore ni***es

✨It has anti-inflammatory properties making it effective for skin irritation and inflammation

✨There is also evidence that suggests that cocoa butter might inhibit the growth of fungus. It contains caprylic acid, a substance known for its anti-candida properties.
