MEET ASHLEY.

She is the very talented artist that illustrated the Robin Williams pic I posted a few posts ago.

I’ll admit, I do have a little FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE shopping addiction, however, it’s where many talented artists have turned to monetize their talents and skills.

I appreciate the talent and work that goes into these pieces, as much as the story behind it because I know everyone has a story to tell.

This illustration of the late Robin Williams popped out at me at just the right time a few weeks ago.

Robin Williams committed su***de at the age of 63, in 2014, he struggled with Lewy Body Disease. An incurable disease, with no known cause that effects the brain and body - life expectancy after diagnosis is 8 years and this disease is usually diagnosed in someone’s 50s.

This portrait popped me back into perspective at a very low moment in my journey with depression recently.

A very talented Calgarian did this portrait and I was fortunate to meet her as she dropped off her art and learn the story behind this beautiful tribute to one of the world’s best comedians.

We record PB records “personal best” as achievements in our physical activity pursuits.

Today I am declaring for myself a PMHB “Personal Mental Health Breakthrough”

Without going into extreme detail - my career, my marriage, my role as a father, son and brother had been challenged after a traumatic event in 2015.

After years of working with counsellors, being diagnosed with anxiety and depression and at risk was my identity and life, with three mental health breakdowns last year alone - our coach, counsellor, psychologist announced a “BREAKTHROUGH” today during our couple’s session.

I’m pretty damn stoked about this.

I put the work in.
I invested time to learn more about me.
I invested time to learn about communication patterns.
I invested in the time to do my self care.

I AM GLOWING RIGHT ABOUT NOW. 😊
