Bridal makeup should enhance, not transform.

For my signature bridal glam I follow 3 rules:

1. No following the newest trends, I want you to look back on your makeup in 30 years and think “damn, I look so good!” Not, “what was I thinking with that lip colour?”

2. If it’s a blemish, I cover it, if you were born with it (hello freckles and beauty marks!) I strive to let these natural features shine through, so you still look like you!

3. Light layers, always. From skin care prep to final setting sprays I always apply your makeup in the thinest layers possible to build longevity and control over the final outcome. No slapping on foundation just for the sake of it over here.

After her trial we switched a few things up. Higher blush placement, a slightly softer more fluffy false lash, more pink less peach tones for lipstick.

Her final makeup look is a great example of why I preach good skincare leading up to your wedding day. Proper exfoliation, moisturizing, the works! When you take care of your skin it means an even smoother makeup application. I mean look at that glow, speaks for itself!!

The point being, don’t sleep on a skincare routine! you don’t need to spend an arm and a leg on the fanciest serum around, but have the basics in place. your makeup artist will do a happy dance, and so will you when you see the finished result!

The biggest myth when it comes to bridal makeup:

You need to wear a LOT so it looks good in photos.

No no no my friend. While yes, your bridal glam is going to be more than your every day makeup look, this doesn’t mean heavy foundation, thick lashes and bold, blinding blush.

The balance is in creating a makeup look that feels good in person, and photographs like a dream.

The key to achieve this? Thin layers, precise placement and proper prep.

I believe in makeup that leaves you feeling enhanced. Applying products precisely where you need to get the most impact, while keeping you looking like YOU!

how to prep your skin for your makeup application:⁣

-hydrate! drink plenty of water the week leading up to your appointment. ⁣
-keep it simple, don’t use any new skincare to avoid potential reactions or breakouts. Stick to your routine.⁣
-I always recommend an exfoliating product or treatment the night prior or morning of, this helps to slough away any dead skin and your makeup will glide on so smooooth!⁣

had a few minutes between work today so thought I’d bring out manny the mannequin and see what I could whip up during my break! It’s not perfect, and there’s a few things I would change for sure if working on real hair but sometimes it’s fun to just play around with different techniques and see where it takes you. Styles like these high buns are sticking around for the 2025 season and I’m here for it!

almost every bride that sits down in my chair says “I think I want soft glam”. Here’s some important things to consider when requesting a soft glam makeup.

gone are the days of being a bridesmaid and dreading having your hair & makeup done! we want you to feel beautiful before leaving the chair, some helpful tips before you sit down with the artist for the day: ⁣

-have inspo photos of what styles you like! Everyone’s version of ‘soft glam’ varies and photos help to fill in the blanks when we’re describing what we like. ⁣
-tell your artist what you liked/didn’t like about the last time you had your hair or makeup done. maybe the lashes were too much, or you love how smooth your updo was. ⁣
-prep your skin and hair properly! come with clean dry hair, preferable blown dry smooth. And have your skin free of any makeup. This gives your artist a clean and clear canvas for your hair and makeup styling!
