I’ve been seeing a trend where makeup is shown in different lighting to prove that it always looks textured, dry or uneven in real life.

Yes, real skin has texture. Pores, acne, post-acne marks and fine lines are normal. Makeup will never erase skin and it shouldn’t try to.
But properly done makeup should still look like skin… just smoother, healthier, and more even. It should not be breaking apart, clinging to dry patches, or looking powdery and heavy.

One of the biggest mistakes I see is product mismatch:
People with dry or dehydrated skin using very matte foundations, then setting everything heavily with powder on top. That combination often leads to exactly what you’re seeing online cakey, flaky, and textured makeup😭😭
Makeup is not just about coverage. It’s about skin preparation and choosing formulas that actually work with your skin type, not against it. When the skin is properly prepped and the right foundation texture is used, makeup melts into the skin instead of sitting on top of it.

That’s the difference between makeup that looks “done” and makeup that looks expensive and effortless🔥
