Some hot takes with little to no explanation 🤍
A decade in this industry has taught me a thing or two.
What would you add to the list?

The word ‘lowlights’ sounds scary, but it can be so pretty✨ They’re a perfect solution to:
•make existing blonde pop
•create a more softer result
•transition to your natural colour gradually
•add more dimension to your blonde
If you’re not loving your blonde, or even don’t feel blonde enough, lowlights or reverse balayage may be the answer 💕

switching from a root tap to a base break finally gave us the blonde of our dreams ☁️🌙
I still think base breaking is one of the hottest shifts in 2026!

If your put your shears away after the first slide…I think we need to talk 🙊
If you don’t finish your cut after blow drying, you’re missing some of the most important steps:
•literally just checking your haircut, sometimes we see corners that we wouldn’t see on wet hair.
•personalizing the cut with point cutting, slide cutting and texturizing.
•removing unwanted weight.
•detailing the face framing layers or fringe.
•dusting or “search and destroy” dry/split ends
A haircut isn’t finished when the hair is dry, it’s finished when the details are done 💛
Do you cut after you blowdry?
your blowout is only as good as what you prep with 🥂
Most people are scared of mousse, but it’s actually the key to volume and hold! And no, it’s not crunchy 😉

Let’s talk placement 🏹
Typically I use horizontal placement for the best blend on my blondes (tongue twister) but we wanted to see a bit more dimension in this case. Instead, I used diagonal back partings and teased slices to get ribbons or “chunks” of blonde and more dimension.
I finished with a root melt and my new fav crystal vanilla cream toner🍦
