It was another fun project! Thanks to Barb and Cindy and everyone at the East Coulee School Museum for giving me the opportunity.
Once again I designed the poster(s) as well as the social media banners the website banners and buttons.
The T Shirts (Alberta T Shirt Co.) turned out really well...and the program is currently underway...be sure to grab one if you're attending the festival.
And a reminder The Bungalows are on stage on the Friday at 6:00 PM and The Barrel Dogs are on stage on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
See you there!

STILL COOKIN' AT 90 - The Canada Sessions Volume II
I recently had the pleasure of working with Kodi and Stephanie at Chronograph Records to design the CD and Vinyl packages for the latest Al Muirhead release.
Featuring Al and many of Canada's best Jazz artists this recording highlights the beautiful tone and ability that Al brings every time he picks up his trumpet!
Congratulations on 'still cookin' Al....we all wish we're eventually going to be as fortunate!

VINTAGE POSTCARD ILLUSTRATION - Self Assigned
This started out as a potential project, one that might be used for the website of an Alberta-based Credit Union. After submitting some rough sketches and some of my illustrations for review, the client decided to go in a style that reflected some other illustrations on their website. No worries - it happens now and then.
I'm not illustrating as much as I used to these days... but I thought it would be fun to go ahead and finish up this project in my intended style just as a self-assigned piece.
I've always loved those classic 'city' postcards that feature a different landmark or scene in each letter. So here's my take on some rural Alberta imagery filling the center of each character.
It still employs my quirky, vector-based style (rather than traditional realism) and ...in the end I think....it turned out well. Certainly worth the extra time it took to finish up the sketched concept.

In honour of The National Day of Truth and Reconciliation I'm proud to share some images from a magazine that I designed for Suncor.
'Journeys' magazine celebrates the cultural, entrepreneurial, creative and mentoring activities of a wide range of Indigenous individuals from coast to coast.
From Totem carvers in BC, to Ribbon Dress makers in Alberta to a Mi'kmaq artist from the East Coast, this publication speaks to the ongoing commitment that Syncrude and Suncor have made to Indigenous communities across Canada.
Many thanks to the team at Suncor for working with Red Pine on this significant publication.

FUN 'RETRO SPACE' THEMED CONFERENCE PROMOTION
Working with the team at The Recycling Council of Alberta (THANKS to Jennifer, Jim, Tessa and Tammy!) I worked up a marketing direction that would support the conference theme and also provide their in-house graphics team with the tools to adapt the look to things like signage, banquet décor and a wide range of branded communications.
Based on the 'romantic' concept of the world of our future - rather than the somewhat scary reality we now face - this visual direction is based on imagery from my collection of ephemera...old books, comics, toy packaging etc.
Here's some of the marketing elements that were designed by Red Pine Design.

INGLEWOOD LAWN BOWLING - Championship Custom Beer Label.
Every year now we have been able to take advantage of our sponsorship from Field & Forge Brewery (Thanks Ian!) to set up a customized beer label for the team that won the previous years championship.
Last year it was a team from The Unicorn going by the name 'The H***y Ponies' who took the cup.
It was fun to design this label for them and now the club coolers contain ice cold ponies for our league members to enjoy at our regular Wednesday night league games.

Horseshoe Canyon Branding Project
A fun ongoing project for a couple years now - I thought I'd finally post some of the work that I have done for Kneehill County as they promote their beautiful 'mini Grand Canyon' located a few kilometres west of Drumheller.
Recently the primary logo was formally adopted by County Council. Some of the proposed marketing materials (the night time logo, honey jars and apparel) are still in concept stage only
