A little small-business reality check. 🤍

We get it, life happens.

But when you simply don’t show up for an appointment, it doesn’t just mean that a business had an empty hour.
For many small businesses, that appointment was someone’s income.

In salons, spas, massage clinics, nail studios, tattoo shops, photography businesses, fitness studios and countless other service-based businesses, our teams often earn their income based on the clients who actually sit in their chair, on their table, or in their studio.

When you don’t show up, we can’t sell that time twice.

The rent doesn’t disappear.
The bills don’t disappear.

This is why cancellation and no-show fees exist.
They aren’t there because we want to take your money.
They’re there because we have to protect the time that our staff have set aside specifically for you — and protect the income they depend on.

At House of Toli, we have a cancellation policy for this exact reason. It’s not personal, and it’s not something our team enjoys enforcing. It’s simply part of running a business where our people deserve to be paid for their time.

And this isn’t just about Toli.
If you support a small, local, service-based business, please understand that showing up matters. Your appointment may feel like one small thing in your day.
To the person waiting for you, it can be the difference between getting paid for their day — or going home having worked for free.

Please respect the appointment you make.
Please respect the person who reserved that time for you.
And please remember that behind every small business is a person trying to make a living, too. 🤍
