July 9, 2008

There are days that divide a life into before and after.

This was mine.

The first photo is the man I knew best, my dad. A fisherman through and through, happiest with the sea beneath him and a story to tell.

The second photo is the place where my world changed forever.

On July 9, 2008, the boat we were fishing from in Haida Gwaii capsized. I watched my dad take his last breath.

For a long time, I couldn’t look at the ocean without reliving that day. The beauty of it was tangled with unimaginable loss.

But grief has a way of changing.

Now, when I see the water, I see him.

I hear his laugh in the wind.

I remember the excitement of another fishing trip, the quiet moments between conversations, and the love of a father who shaped so much of who I am.

The ocean gave him so much joy, and in the end, it became the place where I had to say goodbye.

People often say time heals.

I don’t know that it heals.

I think it teaches us how to carry love and loss in the same heart.

Seventeen years later, I still miss you every single day.

And every time I see the ocean… I still look for you.

❤️

Sagittarius Blue Moon

Tonight’s Blue Moon rises in Sagittarius, inviting us to lift our eyes from the path beneath our feet and remember the bigger picture.

Sagittarius is the seeker, the wanderer, the truth-teller. It asks us to look beyond what feels familiar and consider what might be possible if we trusted ourselves just a little more.

A Blue Moon is often seen as a time of culmination a reminder that life doesn’t always unfold on a neat schedule. Sometimes opportunities, insights, healing, and growth arrive unexpectedly. Sometimes the universe offers us one more chance to release what no longer fits and step toward what does.

As the moonlight stretches across the fields tonight, I find myself reflecting on where I’ve been playing small, where I’ve been holding on too tightly, and where I’m being invited to trust the next step.

If you’re spending a few moments beneath the moon this evening, perhaps ask yourself:

What truth am I ready to acknowledge?
What adventure is calling to my soul?
What am I ready to release so I can move forward with greater freedom?

May this Blue Moon illuminate the path ahead, even if you can only see the next few steps.

The journey doesn’t require certainty.
Only willingness

Feeling incredibly grateful after such a beautiful day connecting with the community at this wellness event.

It was such an honour to introduce so many people to Vibrational Raindrop sessions and to share a little glimpse into the power of frequency, essential oils, nervous system support, and intentional touch.

One of my favourite parts was hearing people say:
“I’ve never experienced anything like that before.”

Watching people slow down, soften, breathe deeper, and reconnect with themselves, even in just a short 10-minute session was truly special.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the table, asked questions, supported the space, shared conversations, and trusted me to hold space for your experience. Events like this remind me how much people are craving connection, regulation, rest, and holistic healing modalities that support the whole person.

So grateful to be part of a community that is open to exploring wellness in new ways.

Thank you for your support, your curiosity, and your presence.
I’m already looking forward to the next one

There are moments after a Breathwork journey where my heart is simply overflowing with gratitude.

To be trusted to hold space for others as they breathe, release, soften, unravel, remember, and reconnect with themselves is something I never take lightly. Every session is a reminder of the courage people carry within them, the willingness to show up exactly as they are and breathe through what is ready to move.

I feel deeply honoured to witness these journeys and to offer this work. Breathwork is more than just breathing… it is a return to self, to presence, to the wisdom already living inside the body.

Thank you to every soul who has trusted me to guide and hold space. Your vulnerability, strength, and openness inspire me every single time.

So much gratitude for this path and this community

This weekend was nothing short of incredible.

There’s something deeply powerful about gathering in circle, hands working, hearts open, stories shared, and something sacred being created together. Watching each drum and rattle come to life felt like witnessing a remembering, a return to something ancient and meaningful within each of us.

The space held so much presence, connection, and quiet magic. Laughter mixed with reflection, learning woven with intuition, it all came together in a way that’s hard to put into words, but you could feel it in every moment.

And truly, none of this happens the way it does without .

Jen has this beautiful way of holding space that feels both grounded and expansive. She brings such depth of knowledge, patience, and heart into everything she does. There’s an ease in how she guides, a respect for each person’s journey, and a genuine care that makes everyone feel seen and supported.

She doesn’t just teach, she creates an experience. One where people can land, open, and create from a place that feels authentic and connected.

So much gratitude for this weekend, for the hands and hearts that showed up, and for Jen, who makes it all feel so seamless, meaningful, and truly special.

A special mention to Ashley of and to Chantal for both of their beautiful spirits and presence.

And to my collaborator for trusting me to co-host these beautiful workshops over and over.

Trust isn’t built through pressure.
It’s built through presence.
With horses, we learn what it feels like to be seen without expectation and supported without words.

In this session, we slow down and explore what it feels like to simply be, without pressure to perform or change anything. Participants spend quiet, guided time with the horses, noticing body language, breath, and emotional responses in the moment.

There is no riding or prior horse experience needed. The emphasis is on presence, awareness, and allowing yourself to be met exactly where you are.

Through gentle observation and interaction, many people experience a sense of grounding, trust, and relational safety that carries beyond the session.
