MCCONACHIE, Nancy (Urhazy)

Passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026 in her 93 rd year at Norfolk General Hospital. She is predeceased by her husband, Keith of 69 years. She will forever be in the hearts of her children John (Joanne), Ken (Marie), Ron (Sabra) and Elaine, her grandchildren Amy (Derek), Katie (Todd), Daniel (Chantelle), Leslie (Will), Stacey (Jerry), Aaislinn (Justin), Lierin (Dave), Jamie (Emily) and Lindsay (Matt), 13 great- grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Shirley McConachie. She is predeceased by her sister Mary Ricker, her brothers-in-law Earl and Donald, and sisters-in-law Marjorie and Jane.

Nancy was born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada with her parents and sister in 1939. They settled in Dunnville and made a life farming there. Nancy and Keith were married in 1954 and she moved to Oneida. They took over the family farm and started their family. Nancy enjoyed driving school bus for over 30 years. She loved to tell about getting stranded with a bus load of children in the winter storm in 1977. She was a dedicated member at the Oneida United Church. The best of times was when she was surrounded by her family and preparing a meal for anyone who
might walk through the door.

A very special thank you to the staff at Norfolk General Hospital for their excellent care provided to
Nancy in her final hours.

Friends are invited to call at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 28 Caithness St. East, Caledonia on Thursday July 30, 2026 from 3:00-6:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11:00am at Miller Funeral Chapel. Interment at Oneida Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Oneida United Church or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
