The Ponytail Academy

People often ask how two sisters ended up teaching hair workshops together.

The truth is, it started with our dad.

When we were little, our mom was pretty busy, so our dad stepped up and learned how to do our hair. Ponytails, braids, buns—he loved doing it and made sure we always felt cared for.

Years later, here we are teaching moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers those same skills through Ponytail Academy. Every workshop reminds us of where it all started and why we love doing this so much.

It’s pretty special that something our dad learned out of love for his daughters has grown into two sisters helping other families build confidence, create memories, and maybe even survive a few hectic school mornings.

What an amazing day at our Beers & Braids workshop at London Brewery this Sunday ☀️🍻

The weather was absolutely beautiful and being outside made it even better. Huge shoutout to all the dads who showed up on a long weekend to learn something new for their kids — seriously superhero dad energy 🦸‍♂️❤️

Everyone did such a great job learning braids, buns, ponytails and bonding skills while having some laughs and drinks along the way. The vibes were amazing, the effort everyone put in was awesome to see, and we had such a great time together.

So grateful for everyone who came out and made the day so special. Can’t wait for the next one!

We had an amazing group come out ready to learn, laugh, and have some great conversations. From superhero moms and dads showing up eager to master new skills, to all the support and encouragement in the room — the energy was truly something special.
