Pouring water on the hot rocks is one of the oldest parts of sauna tradition, and it's not about making things hotter. A few photos here on why it works, and why it's worth trying.

She’s looking better than ever. 🔥
We just finished updating the sauna interior with fresh cedar walls and ceiling. Come see it for yourself 👉🏻 book at islandsauna.ca/campbell-river
You asked, we listened. Tea is now being served.
Just ask your host anytime during your session and we’ll get you a cup. Because after the sauna and the cold plunge, sometimes that’s exactly what you need. ☕🌊
First time visiting? We might be a little tricky to find. Here’s a walkthrough. 🎬
Head into Coast Marina, follow the docks to the end of 1K2. You’ll find us right by the ferry line.

Most people assume sauna is a winter thing. The science says otherwise. Hot days are actually some of the best days to visit. The contrast between the sauna heat and cold plunge is more dramatic in summer, your body adapts to handle the heat better over time, and an evening session helps you sleep through those warm nights.
Happy World Ocean Day 🌊 This is what’s right outside our sauna and we don’t take it for granted. Keep your eyes open next time you’re at the marina. You never know who comes to say hi. 🦭🐋
We won’t tell you it’s easy. We’ll just tell you it’s worth it. 😉🌊
Tag someone who needs this (if you dare).

This is our little corner of Campbell River, and we couldn't be prouder of it.
A wood-fired cedar sauna floating in the marina, with large windows looking out over the ocean and the mountains beyond. An ocean cold plunge fed by live tidal water. A lounge deck to sit, breathe, and watch the world go by.
We built this space for people who need a proper break — two hours away from the noise, the screens, and the rush of everyday life. It's a simple experience, but we think it's a pretty special one.
Social sessions from $42.50 per person. Private bookings available for groups, birthdays, and events. Book online: https://www.islandsauna.ca/campbell-river
