Gauge Yoga

Just state what you want. Set the intention or state the prayer. Then give it to god, the universe, spirit, or a higher power you believe in.

It’s that simple.

Start living more intentionally and then let me know what you discover. Life becomes pretty freaking cool!

// The Kayak Theory //

A kayak only moves when you paddle.

You can drift for a while, let the current take you, watch the shore slide by.

But sooner or later, the water decides for you, and you end up somewhere you never meant to go.

Life works the same way.

If you’re not steering with intention, if you’re not putting in the strokes, you’re just drifting on someone else’s path.

The current is strong, but so are you, if you choose to paddle.

gaugeyoga

Your intuition is a built in navigation system. Don’t ever let anyone tell you are wrong when your gut tells you you’re right. It will never steer you wrong.

THAT’S A WRAP ON YEAR SIX. 🏒 Our 6th Annual Gauge Hockey Skills Camp brought together another 150 athletes, from U7 all the way to U18, from Forestburg and communities all across Central Alberta as far as Hanna, Red Deer and Lloydminster. To all of the familiar faces who continue to come back year after year, thank you. And to all of the new faces who joined us this year - thank you for trusting us with your kids, your time and your weekend. We are so incredibly grateful. A HUGE -ginormous - THANK YOU to the Forestburg Multiplex Arena for opening the doors early and making it possible for us to provide ice, skill development and opportunity to so many young athletes. And an extra-special thank you to Jimmy …the hours, the early mornings, the late nights, the stress and the absolute obsession with making sure that ice was PERFECT-we see it, we appreciate it. Patti, thank you for making sure the concession was open and food was hot! Our bellies appreciated it. We are also so thankful for our incredible instructors and helpers throughout the weekend: Richard Petiot • Lucas • Spencer• Drew • Ashley • Kelsey • Cohen • Brynn • Jelise• Kara • Jorga • Brilyn • Brooklyn Thank you for giving your time, energy, knowledge and passion to these athletes. This year came with some extra hurdles - from swag getting stuck at the border and not arriving when expected, to weather forcing us to move our dryland activities and games indoors. To navigating try out schedules for our own kids, had us juggling many things. There were lots of moving pieces behind the scenes, but every step of the way we were met with understanding, patience and support. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for trusting us. And thank you for making Gauge Hockey Skills Camp what it is. Now go have an AMAZING hockey season. 🏒 To everyone heading into tryouts …GOOD LUCK! To everyone already on a team … go have fun. Work hard. Be a good human. Keep learning. Keep showing up. And most importantly… Always play for the love of the game! Until next year, Mat & Bridgette Gauge Hockey Skills Camp #gaugehockeyskillscamp #gaugehockeycamp2026
