This client has been coming to me for almost 10 years, and she still has the most beautiful, healthy natural lashes underneath her extensions.

Every 2 to 3 weeks, I get to fill a full, healthy lash line because proper application and lash health have always been the priority.

It really does matter who you trust with your lashes.

Summertime is here, and that means more campfires, BBQs, fire pits, bonfires, and open flames.

Ladies, please be careful with your lash extensions.

It’s not just fire you need to watch out for. Hot ovens, BBQ lids, smoking, ripping on a b**g, and even the steam when you peel open a Pizza Pocket wrapper can expose your lashes to enough heat to damage them.

When lash extensions get too hot, they can literally melt together. Once that happens, they become one big clump that you won’t be able to brush through, and they’ll likely need to be removed.

Please protect your lashes this summer. Keep your face back from heat and steam whenever you can. I’d much rather remind you now than have to fix melted lashes later.

Think of it as a lash lift and tint plus a brow lamination… but with so much more goodness.

This treatment infuses the hairs with keratin, peptides, and nourishing ingredients to help leave them looking healthier, stronger, and fuller over time while giving you beautiful, low-maintenance results.

One thing you’ll notice is that I don’t trim the brows during every lamination. Swipe to the third photo and you’ll see how the brow hairs can brush back down. That’s the goal of a brow lamination: to make the hairs soft and pliable so you can style them into the shape you want each day.

There is a time and place for trimming, but cutting the hairs too short can create an awkward grow-out. And let’s be honest… we all know how long eyebrow hairs take to grow back!

Healthy brows first. Beautiful brows second. That’s always my goal.

This is not what a healthy lash set should look like.

No lash extensions should be stuck together. Every natural lash grows at its own rate, so when multiple lashes are glued together, they pull on each other as they grow. Over time, this can cause discomfort, twisting, and damage to your natural lashes.

You’ll also notice the buildup underneath the extensions. Clean lashes are just as important as beautiful lashes.

Am I perfect? No. Do I occasionally find a sticky? Absolutely. But there’s a big difference between finding the odd one and having the majority of the set fused together.

This is why choosing an educated, experienced lash artist matters. Proper isolation is one of the most important parts of a safe lash application.

Sometimes you might look in the mirror and think, “My lashes still look pretty good. I can wait.”

From my angle, I can see something different. As your natural lashes grow, the extensions grow with them. Those grown-out extensions become twisty, flip in different directions, and can start putting extra stress on your natural lashes. Left too long, they can lead to damage and make your fills take longer.

Keeping up with your maintenance every 2 to 3 weeks keeps your lashes looking full, comfortable, and healthy. Your natural lashes will thank you.
