Laura Dear specializes in the management of lymphedema, lipedema and chronic venous insufficiency. Atlantic Therapeutic Massage was opened in 2001 by Laura Dear, RMT and Michele Moore, RMT. We treat a wide range of injuries and conditions ranging from headaches, TMJ dysfunction, soft tissue injuries, back and neck pain and the list goes on. We put our clients needs first and take care that they are getting the treatment that is right for them. Laura has been practicing since 1999 and has recently been certified in CDT, Combined Decongestive Therapy. This is the treatment and management of Primary and Secondary Lymphedema, Lipedema and Venous Insufficiency. This requires a detailed assessment and treatment plan with manual lymph drainage, compression therapy and home care exercises. Laura can fit for and order costomized compression garments required for the long term management of lymphedema. Client education is also a big part of the treatment plan. Please call with any questions. Michele is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan in Toronto and has also been practicing since 1999. She has taken continuing education courses on low back and pelvic pain, soft tissue release for shoulder, neck, low back and extremities, pregnancy massage, myofascial release, cupping and has a certification in foot reflexology. Michele uses these accumulated skills and techniques to assess, treat and manage her clients conditions. We are registered with the CMTPEI and PEIMTA and therefore all treatments qualify if you have massage therapy coverage on your extended health care plan. We can direct bill to many private insurance companies.
