Years ago (12 to be exact!) in my first year of nursing school, one of my preceptors gave me advice that has stayed with me throughout my entire career:

“𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴.”

That mindset became the foundation of how I practice nursing.

While aesthetics is often seen as beauty, this is still medicine. My practice is grounded in nursing principles, patient safety, ethics, and education first.

It’s why I will always be honest with my patients. Why I will say no when something isn’t needed or I don’t feel it’s in someone’s best interest. Why I focus on natural results and individualized treatment plans instead of trends or overdoing treatments.

I value the trust my patients place in me and never take that responsibility lightly. Building strong therapeutic relationships and providing safe, ethical, evidence based care will always be at the core of my practice.

At the end of the day, I approach every patient with the same level of care, honesty, and professionalism I would want for the people closest to me. 🤍
