Looking for the right SPF? ↓

Finding the right SPF can be really challenging. Some are too thick or oily, some clog our pores or break us out, and some leave a horrible white cast that leaves us looking like a ghost… not the cutest look around.

Here are three favourites that I have found in my long journey of trying to find the right SPF and why I love them.

1. colourscience FLEX SPF50

This is a tinted SPF50, this SPF contains “iron oxide pigments that bloom in your fingertips to deliver tone-adapting buildable color coverage with a demi-matte finish”. This means that it is white until it is rubbed into the skin where it adjusts to your skin tone. This is a hydrating and antioxidant rich mineral formula that is amazing for long term health of the skin.

This is similar to a BB cream consistency, it covers redness flawlessly. Great for people who wear makeup often, this has completely replaced my use of any foundation. This isn’t heavy on the skin or pore clogging at all!

2. SkinCeuticals tinted SPF50

Although this is a tinted SPF, it is EXTREMELY light on the skin. This formula is more of a liquid than a cream which is super easy to reapply on super hot sunny days. This gives minimal coverage colour wise but is perfect for no-makeup wearers that are looking to achieve an even skin tone without makeup.

This is another mineral formula which is a great option for sensitive skin types and very dry skin types! This will leave your skin feeling hydrated nourished all day long!

3. IMAGE Protection+ SPF50

This is a moisturizer and SPF combo! This SPF has a rich creamy formula that leaves a beautiful sheer finish on the skin. This “modernized formula with Digital Aging Defense helps to fight against the effects of blue light and environmental skin stressors. The lightweight formulation has you covered for indoors, outdoors or in high sun exposure.” Makeup lays beautifully over top of this SPF. This is a great option for everyone but particularly for dry and dehydrated skin!
