And it’s a wrap. Three days finished was a very successful three days. So many wonderful people who are excited about workshops this summer. Connecting with previous students and previous customers who are still happy with their purchases over the years. 

Arriving at Creative Chaos this morning, I was greeted by a former commission client with some surprising news: my sculptures are, in fact, not deer-proof.
Apparently, a local deer took great exception to a swan sculpture with her wings spread wide and decided that this was a matter requiring immediate action. While the incident was not witnessed, the evidence left behind suggests a vigorous disagreement. Sadly, the damage was extensive, and the swan did not survive the encounter.
After seven years of peaceful coexistence, it seems the deer finally decided that enough was enough.
The good news is that a replacement swan has been commissioned. This time she will arrive with her wings tucked in—hopefully a more diplomatic design that won't offend the local wildlife. With the plan to have a protected winter reprieve in the garage.
Below is a photo of the original swan before her delivery in 2019, back when relations between deer and swans were apparently much more cordial. 😂🦌🦢

Day two down great day probably close to 40 emails just today for workshop interest about the same yesterday so hopefully I will be able to fill all of the workshops this summer. Sold a few sculptures and very appreciative of the air-conditioning from previous years. It’s been amazing one more day left tomorrow.

Count down to https://www.facebook.com/CreativeChaosBC next weekend in Vernon. Decided to add some colour with a few fairies and some new gnomes. Sold one of the large female sculptures this past weekend so a new one is in order :)
