One thing nobody tells you after the wedding is that the little traditions become some of your favourite memories.

My husband and I take turns planning our anniversaries each year, which means one year I get to be surprised and the next year he does.

Every 5th anniversary, we make it a bigger adventure and the person gets to plan a trip. (My husband is not a planner and year 5 was his 😂)

We also follow the traditional anniversary gift guide. It gives us a reason to get creative and sometimes a little ridiculous with our gifts.

For our wood anniversary, I ordered custom golf tees. Most of them were supposed to say “I love you,” but I snuck in a couple that said “You suck at golf” as a joke.

Somehow, when they arrived, every single tee said “You suck at golf.” 😂
Needless to say, that gift was a much bigger hit than the romantic one would have been.

The wedding day is incredible, but building a life together is where the best stories come from.
What traditions have you and your partner started?

High updos are officially the most requested bridal style in my chair this year, and I am absolutely here for it. 🤍
