Top tips for your first time waxing!

Nervous about your first appointment? Don’t be — we’re here to make it quick, easy and as smooth as possible (literally 😉).

Here are our top tips for new waxing clients:

1.Let it grow
Hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice for best results (about 1/4 of an inch). For most people this is 2-3 weeks of growing after you shave.

2.Prep your skin
Gently exfoliate the area a day before your appointment, this helps lift dead skin and allows for a cleaner wax. Also avoid applying lotions and oils to your skin before the appointment, lotions can create a barrier and prevent the wax from adhering to the hair properly.

3.Plan it out
Wear loose clothing and plan to take it easy for 24 hours after your appointment. We want to avoid friction or vigorous activity for at least a day to avoid unnecessary irritation to the area. Also, if you’re waxing for a vacation or special occasion, plan a few days before the big event.

4.Breathe!
We know waxing can be intimidating, but know you’re in good hands! We’ll guide you through everything and keep you as comfortable as possible. Breathe through it, ask questions, and before you know it, it’s done — and so worth it. We’ll have you loving the results so much you’ll rebook before you leave!
