The price increase is necessary in order to keep up with inflation and increase cost from our suppliers. We will always try our best to provide our the best service as well as good value of money.

At Peony Nails & Spa, we are doing everything we can to ensure that the health & safety of our clients and staff is protected.

We are following the guidelines provided by WorkSafe BC and the Provincial Health Authority, as well as suggestions from the Beauty Council of Western Canada.

We are very grateful that we are able to re-open on Monday and we are so thankful for your continued patience, loyalty and support.

We realize that this update contains a lot of information, and we appreciate our clients taking the time to read through it all. There will be additional safety practices that we will be implementing, that are not included below, but here are some of the basic protocols;


We have installed client-staff barriers at the nail tables and at the reception desk. Staff will be be wearing masks. Signage is displayed at the entrance and inside the spa reminding staff and clients about safety measures.

We have reduced the number of staff and clients permitted in the Spa at any one time and we have extended the time between appointments to allow for safe and effective cleaning and sanitizing of tools and equipment.

Our Team has completed Covid-19 Certification for infection control, specific to the Professional Beauty Industry.

We will be contacting clients by phone, the day before their appointment to conduct a Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire. If you (or someone in your household) are experiencing any symptoms of illness, or have travelled within the last 14 days, you will be required to rebook your appointment.

Hand sanitizer will be available once you enter the Spa. Please use it upon entry.

We will be requiring all clients to wear a mask for their appointments and encourage you to bring and wear your own. If you do not have one, we will provide you with a mask and $1.00 will be added onto your services at the end of your appointment.

We have temporarily discontinued lip & chin waxing and lash tinting services at this time.

To avoid overlap of client check-ins and check-outs, we will be limiting the use of our waiting area to one, or possibly 2 chairs (at a minimum 2 metre distance) for final drying of pedicures.
Please wait in your car or on the park bench outside until you are waved in, or until 2 minutes prior to your appointment time.

Please be mindful of other guests and staff and maintain a 2 metre (6 feet) distance at all times.

Please do not bring any guests with you to your appointment, unless they are required as an aide.

Due to the careful planning of staggered scheduling of clients, and avoiding overlap and maintaining the 2 metre distancing, please ensure you are not late for your appointment. This will assist us with maintaining our safety protocols for you, our clients, as well as our staff.

Please bring your own water if you like as we have temporarily removed our water dispenser and are not able to offer you tea at this time.

Where possible, please leave extra bags or jackets in your vehicle as we hope to avoid hanging any clothing or purses on the coat rack.

We have temporarily removed amenities and other items that are not easily sanitized (such as magazines, brochures, water dispenser, decor, fabric chairs in waiting area, complimentary hand lotion and testers, etc.)

The washroom will be available if needed, however, we encourage our clients to use the washroom at home, prior to their appointment, where possible.

Walk-in clients are not permitted at this time. Bookings are by appointment only, for now.

Anyone requiring retail only sales or Gift Certificate purchases are asked to please call ahead so that we can safely prepare your items ahead of time for pick up at time that is appropriate to avoid overlapping of clients checking in or out for their services.

At the end of your appointment, if you must pay with cash, we will have Ziplocs for your use, so please make sure you have the exact amount.

Hello to all of our Peony Nails & Spa clients!

We are so excited to announce that we are busy getting ready for our first phase of reopening!

We have been waiting patiently and watching and listening for updates from Dr. Bonnie Henry and WorkSafe BC.

Today is the first day that ‘Personal Services’ businesses are allowed to re-open.
This includes nail salons and aestheticians.

We are following Dr. Henry’s advice for employers and customers to ‘take it slow’, so we have decided to begin a careful and slow re-opening on Monday, May 25th.

In order to serve you better, we have extended our hours by opening one hour earlier.

Business hours will be now be:

Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Starting Monday, May 25th

Please be patient with us as we initially book clients that had their appointments cancelled due to Covid-19. Next, we will be booking clients that have left us messages over the last several weeks wanting to be added to a Waiting List for when we re-open. We also have some clients with physical challenges that prevent them from managing their own toe and nail care, so we will try our best to assist these clients as soon as possible.

Please feel free to call us and leave a message anytime now so that we can add you in to our schedule as soon as we have an opening.

We will not be open yet for walk-in appointments, to ensure that we can provide our clients and staff with a safer environment. Please keep in mind that our doors will remain locked and you will be waved in 2 minutes prior to your appointment time. We will be operating with fewer staff members, seeing fewer clients at one time and appointment times will be staggered. We will also require more time between client appointments to allow us the appropriate time to clean and sanitize equipment.

Lash Tinting

Hello everyone,
We miss you very much and wish that we could be open right now, but unfortunately due to the virus we will be closed until further notice from the government and health authorities of Canada. We have just donated some gloves to the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice! We are working to support our community and the frontline healthcare workers. They are truly heroes and we hope that they stay safe and have the protective gear that they need. Let’s work together to flatten the curve and keep everyone safe! Remember to keep updated on the news and stay healthy.
