We are noticing many clients coming into the salon who are very sick with a flu/a bug of some sort.

Your appointment is important to us and having to reschedule can be a huge inconvenience for both, but when we catch a bug we are out for the count.

Starting off 2026 with some new introductions! ✨

Drum roll please….. We would love to introduce to you, the very talented & beautiful being, Zachary Drake, owner of The Hairy Godmother 👏🏻

Zack is originally from Triton, Newfoundland, a place still close to his heart (probably because his sweet grandmother still lives there). He is married to the love of his life, Oliver and they are surrounded by their precious animals - three dogs & two cats (Mumbo, Ozias, Lilly, Whitney & Chester). Zack has a passion for the fashion industry (don’t get him started on Fluevlog shoes), a love for the Regency era and thrift shopping. He is always there to lend a helping hand; whether it’s to go into the woods to help you chop wood or colour & style a wig to your liking. He is full of inspiration, grit and Tim Hortons icecaps.

Zack graduated from Woodford’s Training Centre in 2015. He has worked with some of the best stylists and has found so much joy in styling hair. Between working on sets for Neflix and being the lead stylist for Tada! Events, no cast member goes on stage/set unprepared. To say Zack’s clients love him is an understatement - they adore him and it’s because he listens to what they’re asking for.

His number one goal is to have new people in his chair, continued education and creating a safe place for his clients. To Zack, you are not a stranger - you’re a friend. To feel at home in Zack’s chair is the main focus in receiving the service (besides beautiful hair).

He is currently accepting new clients and he would love to meet you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out - he will answer any questions you may have.

Truth is, showing up on this platform is sometimes so daunting. I know for myself, I have all the ideas and want to do all of the things but executing a plan becomes so overwhelming that you just freeze and not do it. Can any business owner relate?

So the question is, how do we show up on social media for our business? How do we show up on social media for the people that make your business? And the most important question, how do you show up for YOURSELF within your business?

The conclusion… Being realistic with what we can deliver and choosing performing over perfection (in my mind it’s P/p - just makes sense in my own little quirky way). As long as you choose to perform to the best of your ability, that’s all that matters! Maybe it means one post a week, or organizing the holidays on a calendar so you don’t miss any and maybe just saying “I can & I WILL do this” to yourself!
