Hi! I’m Erica 👋
Many of you already know me, but for anyone who doesn’t, I’m the owner of Sunny Styles and Co-Owner of Sej Salon & Spa located in the place where the weather is always better, Conception Bay South - 402 Conception Bay Highway. I have been working as a stylist for over ten years but my love for the beauty industry started from a very young age. If you clicked the ‘like’ button, I’m so happy you’re here!

I created this page because I want to keep my clients informed on what is happening within my business. This page will provide updates on my price list, hours of operation, holidays, last minute cancelations, etc. I also want this page to be a place where I can share openly about what’s happening in my personal life (to an extent) because it has a huge impact on how I show up behind my chair. In a way, it’s almost going to have a ‘blog’ type of feel - in all seriousness, I have no idea what I’m doing but something in my gut is telling me to just go with it!

Let’s get right to it. This summer kicked my mental health right on its butt; it kicked it so hard that it sent me to a whole new reality. I had no choice but to sit down and reevaluate my work/life balance. What does this mean? What does this look like? This means, I am changing the way I work. I am going to be working at a pace where my nervous system is more regulated, I’m scheduling in my lunch breaks, and I’m not working to the point where my mind and body are on full speed the moment I walk through the salon door until I walk out. I want to be the healthiest version of myself and in order to do that, I have to readjust how I operate as a stylist.

I don’t want any of my clients thinking they can’t reach out to me for an appointment (BTW I’m going to be offering online booking soon!! 😬) - that’s not what this post is trying to communicate. Sharing this with all of you doesn’t mean you have to tip-toe around me with any questions you may have, appointment requests/changes, whatever it may be, I still hold space for all of it. Things will feel & look a bit different but it is going to be a really beautiful shift. I have so many things I want to adjust, tweak and grow through.

Life isn’t meant to be lived so fast that we miss it. We are always in a rush and what for? Let’s enjoy the time we have together and take in all the glimmers. ✨
