This Mother’s Day, we pause to remember, to celebrate, and to honour. At Eddie & Ev., our clients are more than appointments ~ they’re family. We’ve recently said goodbye to several beautiful mothers who have left an indelible mark on our hearts. We also welcome new life with baby Parker Joyce Pomeroy, granddaughter to our founder Michelle.

Whether you’re grieving, expecting, nurturing, or remembering ~ we hold space for you. Thank you for being part of our salon community, and for the love you bring through our doors every day.

To my dear clients, friends, and team:

What can I say about 2024? It’s now behind us, and with its close, we have the chance to look ahead to new possibilities. As we symbolically start fresh, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and trust.

Some of you have been with me since the day I opened Eddie & Ev—or even before—and some of you have joined me more recently. However long our journey together has been, I am endlessly grateful for each of you. Your support has helped not only to grow my business but has also made it possible to provide for my family.

The work we do here isn’t always easy. While the joy of helping you embrace and care for your beautiful waves, curls, coils, and kinks is deeply fulfilling, it also comes with emotional challenges. Saying goodbye to clients who have passed on or moved away is never easy, and for those of you grieving loved ones, please know I have grieved with you in my own way.

This year, we also said goodbye to a long-standing team member who was with Eddie & Ev for five of our eight years. Her positive impact on our team and clients will not be forgotten, and we wish her the very best in her next chapter. She was an integral part of our journey, and we are grateful for her contributions.

To my “newcomer clients,” adjusting to life in a new community while loved ones are far away isn’t easy. I hope you’ve found a little joy here with us and know that meaningful relationships take time to build.

To my incredible team—you are the foundation of Eddie & Ev. I couldn’t do this without you. While I can’t promise life will always be easy, I hope that together, we can face challenges head-on and support one another through whatever comes our way.

As we look ahead to 2025, I hope it’s filled with new adventures, kindness, and positive change for us all. May world leaders hear the voices of those calling for a better tomorrow, and may we all find peace and prosperity in the year ahead.
