I showed my client her before and after pictures… she said “was I really going around looking this this??” I slowly nodded my head and said “yep but not anymore”

I don’t know how this got started but you should come to your appointment with clean hair. Dirty hair can cause a barrier and make it difficult for lightener or color to pe*****te the hair. All that buildup, dry shampoo, grease, temporary root spray can make it difficult for lightener/color to lift through. Note: That doesn’t mean you have to wash your hair the day of your appointment. Washing it a day or two before your appointment is perfectly fine. ✨If your unsure about when to wash I would recommend checking with your stylist to see what they recommend.
