Smoke Testing will occur in BENOIT's COVE on Tuesday, JULY 21 and may take 2 day. The following information is for your review.

1. Purpose of Smoke Testing

Detects leaks and defects in sanitary sewer systems.
Helps prevent stormwater from overloading the system.

2. How It Works

Crews inject artificial smoke into sewer lines.
Smoke escaping from unusual places signals a defect.

3. Is the Smoke Safe?

The smoke is non-toxic, non-staining, and not a fire hazard.
Avoid prolonged exposure; ventilate if smoke enters your home.

4. Smoke in Your Home?

Rare, but possible through dry or faulty drain traps.
If smoke enters, ventilate and contact a crew member.

5. How to Prepare

Run water in seldom-used drains to keep traps sealed.
You do not need to be home; pets are generally safe.

Deadline to purchase tickets for the Christmas in July draw is Monday, June 29. Beginning July 1 until July 31 a draw will take place daily. If you want to purchase a ticket you can email the town at [email protected]

The price is $10.00 each. Total prize payout $5400.00 for the month of July.

The 2026 spring cleanup is now complete. Residents are asked to clean up the ditch in front of your property. If an individual would like to clean up a section of town and send in a picture with the bag/bags of litter the pictures will be posted to our face book page. There will be 2 draws for $50.00 gift cards for cleaning up a section and submitting a picture. Lets all work together to showcase our beautiful town. Thank you. Please share post.
