BUT KELLIE, SHE WANTED BLONDE!!!….

This is why I ask a bazillion questions with new clients.

This lovely gal came to me for help. You can see she had a reddish tone in her hair, and her goal was a blonde, a lived-in look.

I asked how many times she had coloured it red/brown — she said once.
But I could see her ends were seriously compromised, which led to my next question: 👀
“Have you been bleached before?”

Her answer was yes — she was previously a global blonde.😩

That’s when I had to deliver news she wasn’t expecting:
❌ “I won’t be putting lightener on your hair.”❌

Instead, we created a new plan: a root colour and a reversed balayage.

💡When you place darker tones next to lighter pieces, those lighter areas actually pop more — without causing further damage.

And honestly… the results speak for themselves.✨🩷

“But Kellie, she wanted to be blonde!”
You’re right. She absolutely did. And she could have gone anywhere and found someone willing to bleach over her already compromised hair….

🔅But my priority will always be healthy hair 🔅
not short-term results at the expense of long-term damage.

So yes, we went darker now to preserve the integrity of her hair and keep the door open to going lighter later.

And the best part?
