I was a little nervous at first, I won’t lie, because her hair was very damaged, very dry, and very porous. It was a difficult decision to make, but I took the risk and was able to give her the color and tone she wanted.

Every time I have a client, it is very important for me to connect with that person. When someone spends two or three hours sitting in my chair, I want to enjoy that person’s energy, and I want that person to enjoy mine too. I want us to talk, feel comfortable, and understand each other.

Hair is something beautiful. It is a true passion for me.

I do not want to do hair for people I do not connect with. I would rather make less money and truly enjoy what I do, building a clientele that feels like a team and a family, than have a large number of rude people who only want to watch what you do, what you have, and then go on social media to talk about things that are not their business.

I am not looking for drama. I am building a future.

I want clients who become part of the Kika Salon family—people with whom we can enjoy the time together, talk about everything and nothing, have a coffee while doing color, and maybe even a glass of wine if the moment feels right.

I want to keep growing, keep learning, take more advanced courses, and become better at what I do. I want to give the best of myself to every client who values my effort and supports me.

I truly appreciate every bit of support I receive. I appreciate every recommendation from clients who send me people who are worth it.

I am not about fake energy. I am about growth.

And even when I open my business outside of my home, it will still be the same. If I do not feel comfortable with someone, I will not do their hair. I will not accept that person in my home or in any business I have.

I do not care if people go on social media and talk badly about me. It does not matter to me. What I use to do my work—my combs, my bleach, my colors, everything I have—has value, and I respect it. I do not want to waste it on disrespectful people.

I would rather make ten dollars a day doing what I love with the right people than make a million dollars with the wrong ones.

There are many good, educated, respectful people out there. Everyone should find their own people and let those of us who are working in peace continue doing so.
