I did something exciting! I decided to invest in my health and my businessā¦
For years, I have guessed my way through health. Dealing with symptoms and not really knowing what to do about it or how to āfixā myself. Your doctor has no advice accept take this pill. That is NOT for me!
Iāve tried so many different supplements and recommendations from others, with little to no results. And sometimes your symptoms donāt always tell šÆ of the story.

I had some good news! So as you might know, Iāve been on a wellness journey to heal my hashimotoās symptoms. I prefer a holistic approach to my health. Iāve been working on detoxing my body (liver, kidneys, pancreasā¦) for the past few months now.
I had some bloodwork done recently and the results surprised me! My thyroid antibodies went from 203 (from Februaryās results) to 134 (current results)! Thatās a 34% reduction, which is amazing! High thyroid antibodies are a sign of inflammation, which is how they diagnose you with Hashimotoās. They donāt usually go down unless you are actively working on reducing inflammation in your body.
This shows me the hard evidence that what I am doing is working! Sometimes we might question whatās actually going on if we canāt see it. Every day isnāt perfect. Itās still a work in progress, but I am thrilled with the results, and I canāt wait to see how Iām feeling in another month or two, or even three. Itās exciting to finally see and feel progress after years of trying many new things and nothing really working!

We went to a sunflower festival with friends last weekend, and I had to snap this picture, because I loved it so much. š
Being on a health journey stretches you in so many ways. Iāve learned a lot along the way about my health and my body, and how it responds to certain things. What I donāt want to put into my body, and what it needs.
The biggest realization is that you need to detox your body to get to the root of your issues. Itās a process, and not an easy one. When youāve suffered for years with certain ailments, then itās not just a quick fix! You have good days and bad days. You canāt expect to take some supplements for a month and you magically feel better! If you truly want to heal and get well, then you need to be prepared to commit and do whatās necessary. Thereās no sugar coating it⦠do you want to get well? Are you prepared to do whatās necessary?
I see so many people, and I have LOTS of conversations with people, but most people arenāt ready to change, and thatās ok. Itās all on your own timing. When youāve had enough, then youāll be ready.
Thatās where I am at, and thatās why Iām passionate about helping others get well.

What I eat in a dayā¦
I try to eat a good breakfast, usually eggs with ham, sausage, or ground pork, and rice or fried potatoes or sweet potatoes. Food before coffee, or with coffee. I stopped drinking coffee on an empty stomach, because I canāt handle it anymore! Coffee naturally raises cortisol (your stress hormone). If you drink it first thing without food, it can exaggerate the spike and leave you feeling jittery, anxious, or shaky, which is what I was feeling. šµāš« It also messes with my blood sugar!
I started eating more nutrient dense meals at lunchtime to fill me up, especially on days when I work. Iāve been planning my meals (mostly!), so I have something prepared, otherwise I fail! Lentil soup is a favourite, because itās easy, filling, and nutritious! I also love cooking a bunch of chicken legs to have in the fridge to eat with roasted veggies or salad.
Snacks are usually fruit, homemade protein bars, or my favourite⦠dates, nut butter, almond, chocolate drizzle, and then frozen. SO good! š¤¤
For dinner Iāve been trying to keep to meat, sautĆ©ed or roasted veggies, and rice. Minimal sauces or anything prepared. Too much sugar and sodium makes me feel dehydrated, so Iām trying to avoid it. Iām not always perfect though!
