After nearly a decade in healthcare, she’s followed her heart into the world of hair—and we’re so glad she did! A self-proclaimed elder emo, dog mom, and craft beer enthusiast, Kelsi brings both talent and personality to every appointment. Come say hi and get to know her—you’ll adore her!! . 💇🏼‍♀️🐶🍻

Evonne is a stylist of the 80’s and has been doing hair for 37 years working magic with colours, cuts, and foils, specializing in custom lived in colours for those who wish to start embracing their natural colour and greys 🤍

Starting June 25th Evonne will be working Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Alex is such an amazing educator that was able to teach while also show us a great time, and is a wealth of information!! ❤️
We at roots believe that it’s incredibly important to know how to work with hair of ALL types, and that can only come with learning from others who have the expertise!

Thank you so much Alex for this day of fun, filled with important education, we are feeling excited, confident and ready to have more curly clients in our chairs!! We look forward to many more workshops with you in our future ❤️☺️💪🏼🫶🏼

We are so excited and proud to announce that our very own Elijah (who’s normally found working front end reception) has completed the Hairstylist Program at VIU and is ready to take the floor as a junior stylist here at Roots the salon! 🥳

Elijah has developed a passion for cuts, colors, and lightening services. She is open to working with models to try new things and is always looking for ways to improve her skills. Elijah grew up in Calgary, but moved to the island in 2016. Her interest in becoming a hair stylist was sparked after working front end at Roots! She loves spending time with her dogs, and engaging in sports such as snowboarding and dirt biking. Elijah is a creative and artistic person who loves the outdoors, arts, and reading. She is always looking for new ways to express herself, and she is excited to share her passion for hair styling with others.
