Ace Brewing is a great partner and so popular with our guests, especially during our fall/winter Sip 'N Stay promotion! The Landolt family dream was to create Ace Brewing Company, and wow, has the reality been a gift to the Comox Valley. It’s named after the Ace Fighter Pilots in World War 1 and World War 2. Our "Stronger with Partners Giveaway" came to an end last Friday night during our 20th Anniversary Celebration with the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce members. But we will keep celebrating with our winners as they come in to pick up their fantastic prizes! 🎉

Where would we be without Thrifty's? We depend on Thrifty’s for so many things: the specialty food and flowers provided to our guests, our own personal lunches, staff event platters, and the list goes on!

Thrifty's has been a Courtenay grocery store favourite choice for more than 30 years. While we all love them for the many things they provide, like their deli counter, bakery, florist shop, natural food selections and more, they are also an amazing supporter of community programs like the Food Rescue Project, Feeding the hungry, fueling athletes, working with health care foundations and nourishing the arts.

Our "Stronger with Partners Giveaway" came to an end Friday night during our 20th Anniversary Celebration with the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce members. But we will keep celebrating as our winners come to pick up their fantastic prizes!

Can't get a sweeter prize! Jim was a lucky winner of the Hot Chocolates and Cake Bread Bakery gift package generously donated for our 20th Anniversary “Stronger with Partners” Giveaway with 97.3 Eagle Radio. He won a box of scrumptious Hot Chocolates truffles and a $35 gift certificate for Cake Bread Bakery and another for Hot Chocolates. 🙌

Recently celebrating their 40th Anniversary here in Courtenay, Hot Chocolates is adored by our community for their handcrafted chocolates, confections, and baked goods. Their storefront window on 5th never disappoints. And their partner brand, Cakebread Artisan Bakery, was founded 20 years ago, with a vision to bring the time-honoured European tradition of artisan baking to our Valley. Today they are locally known for the most imaginative cakes, breads and baked delights. The Old House regularly shares their delicacies with VIP’s and visitors.

We are grateful for our amazing partner, Project Watershed and for the incredible milestone they and the K'ómoks First Nation achieved with the completion of the Kus Kus Sum restoration project located just across the Estuary from our Hotel. Project Watershed has done such amazing environmental work in our Valley and has more work ahead of them. The Old House also gratefully shares that the bountiful land upon which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the K’omoks First Nation. One of the many ways we enjoy working with the K’ómoks First Nation is by sharing the treasures of the IHOS gallery with our staff and guests.

We are so happy our partnership with Cumberland Community Forest Society continues to grow. 🙌 Carlie, our sustainability champion, was invited to join this Source Encounters Watershed Tour that explores the history and ecology of the Comox Lake Watershed. 💦 This eye-opening experience shows how we're all connected by water in the Comox Valley, Salish Sea region and the planet.
